Why yes, it's yet another "Ask so and so" thread. I've found that I've been on here for about a year, and I don't necessarily feel one with the CV community. I created this thread so you and I can get to know each other better.
Don't just ask A_Tree, ask The_Tree!
Origin of username?
@YourNeighborhoodComicGeek: The first internet forum I was actively a part of was Gamespot.com's, and I operated under the name S3XYT1M3. I grew tired of the name and wanted one that sounded cool and significant. At the same time, I was going over Greek mythology at school, and I learned of Zeus' connection to oak trees, so the thought for the name just clicked. I then took the name The-Tree, and when I moved over to CV, I just kept it but used an underscore since CV doesn't allow dashes. :{D

Should Sinestro Corps have their own ongoing title?
While I don't find it necessary for them to have a title, I'd be more inclined to read it than I would Red Lanterns. But Sinestro leading the Corps with Arkillo as the right hand man would be a must for me. I'd also love to see little known characters like Haasp the Hunter, and especially Malia (since many complain about the lack of human female Lanterns), be further explored.

Why have I never seen you on the forums before? Just kidding. I dunno, I don't hang in Off Topic that much, I go to whatever recent topic interests me.

LMFAO. I certainly fell off of the wagon, didn't I? I'm on issue 9. I don't know what happened, I just stopped reading it after it was revealed Diesel was an agent. But then again, I dropped reading comics altogether. I started reading comics again this past week, actually, picking up where I left off on The Flash. I'll try and find the time to finish it, because I really want to. Winter Break is fast approaching, so I'll try and complete it then. I already have all the trades.
Please, Mr. Batson, sir, don't beat me.
:p
you are messing up the flow of things... no wonder those dogs keep peeing by your roots...@BiteMe-Fanboy said:
How long did it take you to come up with that clever thread title?
About 30 seconds.

Which is your favorite current comic book series?
Invincible. It's quite possibly my favorite comic book series ever.
Here's my question: How come I'm not following you yet?

The Dude in all his beautiful glory! :O
How did you know?
@SmashBrawler:
'Tis a great question, for which I don't have the answer to. I guess the real question is "Why haven't I been following you?" I'm really digging the Christmas vibe you've got going, by the way. The Larfleeze Christmas Special was the bomb.

Thanks. I like holidays because it's a change of pace from the rest of the year, so when one comes along (like Christmas or Halloween), I go all out. Now two more questions so I don't derail this thread:
- Character who was most benefited by The New 52?
- Character who was most damaged by The New 52?
@SmashBrawler: Ah, I love the holidays as well. Snow, cold, fires, cheer, lights, cookies, uplifting movies, family time, and gifts. It's perfect.
First question: I'm in the firm belief that Aquaman was always cool, but it's benefited him greatly by giving him newly found recognition and an all star creative team.
Second: Tim Drake. I seriously loved the character prior to Flashpoint. He was truly coming into his own with the Red Robin series and it was just about to get even better with his whole "Robin's Nest HQ" and all of what was being set up. Now he's been completely regressed into some teenage punk who'll put his family in danger to get what he wants. That's not Tim to me, he's a whole different character now. Runner up goes to Barbara Gordon, followed by Oliver Queen. I have a list that goes into further detail on what really grinds my gears about the character changes in The New 52.

Favorite comic book of all time?
Favorite movie of all time?
Favorite TV series of all time?
- One singular issue would be impossible to choose, but if it were a favorite series, it'd be Invincible.
- Either Jeff Who Lives at Home, or Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I really liked the former due to it really emotionally resonating with me, and the latter is just hilarious, I've probably seen that movie over one hundred times.
- As for TV, in the Drama department Homeland and Breaking Bad are tied up. In the comedy department I really love The Office, I've probably watched most of the series three times over. Parks and Recreation is a close second.
Favorite Flash villain? Last favorite Flash villain?

What did you think of the Man of Steel trailer?
It literally brought a tear of joy to my eye because of how awesome it was.
Lol, same here! I remember when they first showed the Green Lantern trailer and everyone was either laughing their asses off or facepalming (or both). Thankfully this trailer had a completely opposite effect on people!

Yeah, I was pretty hopeful for GL, especially when they released that five minute or so trailer with Sinestro giving a speech to the Corps. Then I was wholly disappointed by the actual movie. The aforementioned trailer had all the best parts in it.
I've had nothing but serious faith in Man of Steel, especially with great talent like Snyder, Nolan, Zimmer, Shannon, Costner, and Crowe on board. I can only hope that this turns out great, and judging by the two trailers we've seen so far, it looks like it's going to live up to the hype.
