1987, my great aunt Molly, out in Oak Park, IL gave me a copy of this Chicago Tribune exclusive comic where Spider-Man and Hulk teamed up from 1979. It was pretty terrible, but I loved the super-heroes in book form, and not just on tv. From there, I started heavily reading Wolverine, ASM, X-Men, and Punisher, but I never had a solid run of books since my mom would never take me to the comic book store.

Not loyal. After the end of X-Men 2099, roughly 1996. I gave up comic books in order to try and become cool in high school. I started playing sports and music heavily. Needless to say, I never got cool, and I jumped back into comics in college, in 2002 with Battle Pope.

Other than the comic books I have to review for CV, I read about 20 other books a month. I read a ton, mainly DC and Image. I'm slowly getting back into Marvel though.

I actually prefer indy over both, but that's not the question.

I think the Marvel Ultimate Universe are some of the best books on the shelves right now, but the normal 616 U can be bland and everything returns to normalcy too much.

I love the New 52. Sure, I've got some huge problems with a few things like continuity and this 5 year crap, but overall, it's been awesome.

I guess I have to go with DC simply because I find their characters a tad more interesting and I currently, they have all my favorite writers: Snyder, Lemire, Palmiotti.

When I worked at a comic book store, Sonic fans (followed by Buffy fans) were always the biggest jerks. Yes, it's a broad generalization (70s Thor fans were also terrible), but it made me hate the character.

Image, by far, is my favorite company. I love them.

I don't scare easily. Man.... I couldn't tell you.... I really liked Vertigo's last attempt at House of Mystery, but it really wasn't scary.

Cujo freaked me out as a kid... I read it when I was 7. I learned how to swear from that book.

If you've been on the site for a while, then you know when Halloween approaches that I write 3 articles about Halloween costumes.

My mom's side of the family is Canadian, so I've been to Canada many times. Last time I left North America was in 2001, when I went to Ireland for a month. Spoiler alert: I drank a lot of Guinness.

I want to go back to Ireland. I want to go to Mexico, Scottland, and visit friends and family in England.

First one is a tough one.... It's either I Killed Tomorrow, from this past year or New Ways to Die

Bendis is very hit or miss, and while I'd like to have faith in him, I don't see anyone doing better than Dan Slott did. I guess that makes me a Dan Slott fanboy.

I LOVE Miles Morales! It's the best idea Marvel has had in years! I loved the fact they made someone else the new Spider-Man and he has to live in the old one's shadow.

Red L.A.M.P. is off doing Red L.A.M.P. things and making me jealous with all his instagram pictures.

Worst: My first club gig back in 09. I puked before my set, and I bombed hard. I've never been booed or anything, but sometimes silence is worse than boos.

Best: This past March, I hosted a big show at a Mooseclub Lodge for about 200 people. The show went over really well, and I was invited into the secret bar for members only. I had 20 people offer to buy me drinks after the show, but sadly, this was a week before my surgery, so I couldn't drink. Also, an older woman tried to take me home. That was creepy.
