Does The Purge work better as a show ?

If the Purge were converted into a type of anthology show with different episodes focusing on different people/situations do you think it would be better than the movies ?

I think it would or I should say could if Vince Gilligan did it.

That would be awesome! Not a fan of the films, but this sounds like an great idea - especially the about it being an anthology. I could see it as a show being about the aftermath of The Purge as well - like, having to live with the people in the neighbourhood who killed your son during the purge or something.

@14nc3: Yea if it was on Netflix or HBO where they can show everything they can then that would be great. A movie sized budget to go with it would be perfect. It would be great to see the perspective of one of the insane killers on purge night as well

Just a version of the walking dead where the dead stay down instead.

I guess so. It would allow some time for better character development and a better insight on of the idea of the Purge.

No the best thing about the purge concept is to see city wide chaos

I don't think you could stretch it for multiple episodes, cause it ends in one night. Unless you did each episode is like different night and a protagonist or group of fool hardy people going out to help people every year, or you just follow a group nut bars

Eh idk maybe. I mean connection would be important to some. If they people we follow for one episode just die what would the point ? and they make it every year then what's the point

The Purge shouldn't have even been a movie let alone a TV show.

I only liked the concept. It was awesome, but poorly executed.

I'd love to see a Purge show.
