It's one of the worst programmes I've ever seen, anyone else think it's really overrated and not funny?
Does anyone else really hate The Big Bang Theory?
Wow! One of the Worst? I don't know how in the world it could be one of the worst. There is plenty of shows on or that have been on that's a lot worse than it is. I think is one of the best shows on tv right now and is defiantly funnier than the majority of them. Not to mention it is relatable to a lot of comic book enthusiast. If you don't like it than so be it, but I've never heard anyone say it was one of the worst.
No, I love the Big Bang Theory. I've watched every episode and only a few of them were bad (like the one where the majority of the show was just Leonard speculating what would happen)
I tried giving it a chance because I find a lot of different things funny, but after watching it I wanted to just shoot myself. It was seriously that bad.
I think your one of only a select few who have given it a chance still think its bad. I own every season, few shirts, posters, and other merchandise. One of my favorites. I give you props for atleast trying to watch it, and just just shooting it down for the heck of it. Just for reference what are the shows you find good?
It's horrible. It's like a bad.. "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" ... Now that is a funny TV show.
@Mr_Colossus: I like Seth Macfarlane's work, Family Guy and American Dad. Not too keen on The Cleveland Show though, also I really like Scrubs.
I used to watch it while I walked on the treadmill since the treadmill television had limited channel options. It was...okay, but I certainly do not get why people love it. It had a few chuckles, but I would not watch it if I were not in desperate need to distract from my aching legs.
I've seen the show discussed on here before, and it is generally disliked by comicviners.
Here's Bill Burr talking about alternative comedy from one of his podcasts. I don't agree with his overall view of the genre - and I don't know if the Big Bang Theory is categorized within this group (there's probably a more specific genre for it to be classified in) - but I thought it related well with what I thought of the show, and it's funny.
I neither like it nor hate it. I am completely indifferent towards it. Its one of those things that I simply wave at as it pass's me by.
A bad stereotype on comic fans? I don't see it that way because i tend to do some of the same thing as they do. If people don't like it that's fine, everyone is entitled to there choice of tv shows the same as their comics. I find it entertaining and amusing because my brother is a PhD holder and a comic fan and it resembles him in many ways. @GodOfMischief: of the few the named the only one I watch is scrubs really. I just never got caught up in Seth macfarlane's stuff as much as some.

Just fu**ing die.
I watch it. It's funny at times. But I get pissed some of the times. It's pretentious and has a lot of scientific/historical/fictional errors (ironic, considering it should be a show of geeks). Not to mention it presents a stereotype in the geek culture.
I despise this show.
In fact, I hate most shows with laugh tracks.
And the characters are unbearable and not likeable at all.

This, and it's nerd blackface.
I've given it a few shots, and while I wouldn't call it the worst tv show ever, it is far, and I mean FAR from as good as some make it out to be, it's extremely overrated and it makes me mad that it gets such acclaim when other shows like it are funnier and struggling to survive...yes, I'm talking about Community.
I had to listen to everyone talk about Schrödinger's Cat for drokking weeks at work, so I don't think too much about it.

you mean when the comic book guy gets the smoking hot neighbor? or the time when he got the smoking hot indian chick? not to mention all of the other really hot girls he's gotten with.....I don't see how that's a bad stereotype

Yeah it makes us nerds look like we never get laid and we have no social skillz.
that's ridiculous...Leonard gets laid a LOT so does the jewish guy...can't remember his name
Called me unreasonable but the dude with the big forehead really irritates me. He's the type of actor you see and feel like changing the channel face guy.

it has more bad than good
Yeah it's just a big lie. Everyone knows that the universe was created from a tree growing on the back of a cosmic turtle..........oh wait that's not what you are talking about?
Freakin' love the show. And so what if it gives us "comicbook fans" a bad stereo type. It's called humor, get over it.

I loved the first two seasons, the rest went downhill.
Yeah, I think it was a much stronger show before they introduced all the chicks.
