Somehow I never see conservatives get upset like this and threaten to move to Iran, it's always Canada or Australia. Someone should really tell them that these places are much more liberal than the US and have things like universal healthcare... which conservatives seem to think is the government stomping on their freedoms.

Also, its a known fact that Australia's been a very racist area when first colonized by the British (and even today I could imagine). Australia has no religious restrictions, though some Islamic centres have been found out to be inclined towards terrorism than the teachings of the Prophet so the Australian Federal Police shut them down and arrested them, and rightly so. But Australia has no religious restrictions, we even tried to get Jedi recognised as an offical religion on a census a few years ago, some 40,000 people put it on their forms...government ignored it :(
When I say outback, I do mean outback. Kangaroos, dingoes, desert (yes, even the heat. I like deserts.) I don't give a butt about Sydney outside that it's part of Australia. And besides, it's one nation down there. Not separated and divided.
I do know also that a lot of other countries have been dicks towards natives. In South Africa, the issues there (I think there's a legal form of segregation implemented or was planned at one point) are far worse than the civil rights arguments in the 'States. Palestinians and Israelis are still duking it out over their turfs in the middle east. The Native American nation in the US, despite being a very rich and prosperous, is in continual rut between poverty and financial division (and there was an issue recently about a mom who lost the rights to her son because the boy's father, who dumped the two of them years prior, demanded sole and full parental rights because his son was half Indian. The kid was taken away and I don't think the mom's allowed to see him.)

I think you misunderstood what I was saying, because what you are telling me, I already know. I don't live in Australia, but one of my favorite teachers moved to Australia which is where his wife is originally from, so I know a little bit about how things are there. What I was saying though is that I've been having to hear all kind of butthurt comments from people over Obama being re-elected, because I'm surrounded by those people on a daily basis due to the area I live in and where I work. One of the comments I heard was the "I'm moving to Australia because they don't allow muslims." I was merely pointing out the pure stupidity of that statement.

The 47 percent are 47 percent of the population not bothering to vote Romney and just go with Obama (which happened anyways) and the Binders Full of Women was a reference to that Romney has binders of women's resume's that he looks over to see if they're eligible for a position in his company. Oddly enough, he's employed more women than Obama in his entire presidency so far.

In a very non-serious way, because what you're saying is entirely too inconsistent with reality here. How a technocrat is going to make Europe look conservative by the end of his second term doesn't make sense, especially with this congress.
What the H is a technocrat? Europe looking conservative vs. the US in the future mainly because the blokes in Europe actually have some balls when it comes to politics in places (I mean, have you seen the difference a Cold War does to Russia, regardless of the deals that the prime minister there is itching to make with Obama in the 2nd term?)
