The poll needs a third option. How can I trust/distrust something that doesn't exist?

#3 Posted by Jonny_Anonymous (33631 posts) - - Show Bio

the question should be, does god trust me?

@TotalBalance: Just because you don't want to believe something exists, doesn't make it so.

Yep

This is also a valid point.

Do you really need to be such a self-entitled douche?

I hate people that think their opinion is fact

Uhh.. doesn't it kind of work both ways?

I mean.. you can't possibly be absolute when it comes to these things. It's pretty egocentric to correct someone elses opinions with one of your own.

Why thank you :)

@Stormbox: No need to insult me. When did I say I was stating a fact? I was altering a post, since it doesn't take any amount of belief to not believe in something. It is the very opposite.

And I don't particularly like people who make incorrect assumptions, jump to conclusions and pointlessly insult other users.

I try to sometimes... but GOD don't make it easy to trust him... lots of suffering goes with trusting GOD... and suffering is a b!tch.

Except the belief in nothing, right?

You've come a long way from posting insulting pictures directed at religious people. ;]

My faith in the bible has wavered to the point I don't pray or say my grace anymore.Stuff that has happen/is happening is the world makes me second guess my faith in God.

I pray to an ancestral God so I don't know if that counts.

@Xanni15:But belief in nothing is paradoxical. You don't believe in nothing, you say you don't believe in anything, but not nothing because the definition does not work like that.

I detect sarcasm in that remark.

Wow your still referring to that? As I said ages ago when it was relevant it wasn't directed at all religious, just those who don't think for themselves.

Of course I trust God.

He's our Heavenly father.
