Do you think next gen games suck?

Nah, MGS, Shadow of Mordor etc. With Fallout 4 yet to come, I think they're fine :)

Kind of. I don't know if it's just me getting old and cynical though. Seems there's a plot hole in everything. So many tropes. Everything is so actionised. So predictable. They make huge world's with the depth of a puddle. Everyone releases buggy, unfinished games. Day one patches are an acceptable thing now.

I think the industry has just gotten lazy

I've only played Arkham Knight, which is pretty good so far.

I've seen other stuff that looks great.

So I wouldn't say they suck (some of them do, but in general I don't think so).

Eh, games have never really been my forte so I won't pretend like I'm an expert, but most of the new games I've been playing have been almost eyerollingly repetitive and most of the game play feels heavily borrowed from other games.

I have a Ps4 i bought Arkham Knight which was very disappointing I also got Dragon Age Inquisition great game i recommend it to anyone though it would be best if you start with Dragon Age Orgins if your not already into the series but Inquisition looks amazing on the Ps4 and i'm sure it looks good on the Xbox one as well.Plus I got Madden 16 which is surprisingly good though I don't no if your into sports so.

Generally, yeah. Most games nowadays just aren't my cup of tea. Past gen games appeal to me more for some reason. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing.

@gpower: Dragon Age: Borequisition is probably the worst game of that series. It's GOTY status from last year was a fluke. It had no AAA competition. It's a single player MMO with a bland player character, shitty combat, and a mediocre story.

Dragon age 2 is the worst of the series Inquisition has the best gameplay mechanics in all the series and story wise is only second to Dragon age Orgins I have no idea why Inquisition gets so much hate from so many people when in my opinion it's a very good game with good gameplay and a well rounded story.

And yeah i hear a lot of good about Witcher 3 might pick it up on friday when I get my check.

No, there just hasn't been enough time for some really nice material to come out. It's only been a couple years...

That depends on where you are at in regards to being "a gamer" but I think the games that have come out lately would you get back into being a gamer again.

Too early to tell for me. I've only played Arkham Knight, which I like.

Witcher 3 (Ciri <3), DA:I, arkham knight and a few other games show what this generation of consoles has to offer. Also guys, xbox one and ps4 ARE current generation, it's getting annoying that people still refer to them as 'next generation' despite the fact that they have been out for a while now.

The title of the thread asked, "Do you think next gen games suck?" And I answered yes. If something doesn't appeal to me, then, to me, it sucks. Simple as that. My opinion was in no way meant to be taken objectively, dude.

Arkham Knight, Metal Gear Solid 5, Mortal Kombat X, Shadows of mordor. IMO this console Generation has some of the best games

So, guys. One day, my brother traded a xbox 360 into ps4 and he got arkham knight from online(i guess) and he will come to my town to move and i will play Arkham Knight

What I mean is that they suck because they have so much flaws.

So far the next-gen consoles game lineup has been pretty lackluster. I'm simply biding my time until Tomb Raider is released in November. Also, here's hoping that the next installment in the Assassin's Creed series won't be a huge debacle.

Toss up between The Witcher 3 and Fallout 4. Personally rooting for the Witcher 3. BGS has racked up a lot of GOTY awards in the past and is probably my favorite dev while this is the first 'household' title from CDPR and I feel like their hard work should pay off.

So far, most of the games, i my opinion, are underwhelming. I'm still waiting for Quantum Break. It's the onlyannounced project I'm still really excited for.
