If it's a written review I usually look at the review and skim the article
do you read critic reviews or look at the score?
I try to see different points of views of same issue. But in end i try to look to review that was more correct and more fair.
I normally just look at the score.
But I find referrals from people I know on comicvine as a better judge of whether or not to buy a comics.
At the moment though, the decision is simple. Don't buy comics because you are broke as a joke :p
I mostly follow the creative teams I like......
Me, and a reviewer may have different taste in comics.
I've never understood how people rate stuff. I don't know what a 7.5 comic is..... I like a comic or I don't.
neither are really relevant to me. I don't even look at box office much anymore. I just like seeing movies and form my own opinions.
Finding a reviewer with similar tastes to mine is a treat. There are a couple that I've discovered and I follow them consistently. This site stopped featuring one of them, but I follow them elsewhere and should they be picked up by another organisation, I will follow them there.
So yes, I do read critic reviews, but I'm very particular.
I read reviews to get a general idea of what I'm in for and decide based on that whether to commit, I don't take critical opinion into the equation because it's the creation that's the achievement - literally anyone can be a critic.
Honestly, I only read the reviews if the scores are the polar sides of the quality spectrum. If the content only got a 1/10 I want to know what was so awful about that warrants such a low score, and if it receives a 10/10, I'd be curious as to how.
