Do you own a firearm?

There have been a lot of threads regarding what weapons and firearms were favored by us Viners. Well, I wanna know who actually owns a firearm. If you own one, tell us what kind it is, how much you paid for it, and why you bought it. Post a picture if you can.

Some Viners already know what my favorite firearm is. So, yeah. I bought a Romanian-made AK-47 1971 for $500. I was taking my homeboy to the gun shop nearby so he could buy himself a MAC 11. I wasn't gonna buy anything, but when I say that AK-47, I coudn't get past that pricetag. The gunsmiths told me that it was the last AK-47 they had, and that they weren't getting anymore because things regarding NATO (weapons can't distributed to the USA from countries in NATO next year) or something. Also, there are gonna be some rules/laws set on assault weapons next year, and those that already have them would be exempt or grandfathered. So, I took initiative and bought it. I said 'The hell with layaway!' I mainly bought it for protection. Too many people get home invaded and robbed at gunpoint these days because of the economy. If low-lifes wanna eat really bad, they'll take whatever they can from someone who's a lot more fortunate than them. Gotta be prepared, because you never know when someone may try to get you. Better now than later or never....

I live Europe so i cant own one but im a weapons master so i actually never needed  one to begin with ^_^

Yes I have several.
I hunt so I have a couple rifles and shotguns.
I also have 3 handguns and a SKS just for fun.

I have my great uncle's STG 44 from when he served in the German Army during world war 2. He taught me how to clean it and service it so it could still be useful if trouble arises. Here's a pick of a similiar one:

I have a .22 for target shooting and hunting.

And a training M16 (airsoft) that shoots 430 fps (My .22 shoots 1000 fps).

Exactly. People in the States are extremely fixated of firearms.
I don't know anyone that owns a gun. In fact i haven't even heard of anyone owning a gun."

Hum.....Well here in Texas we hunt. Most of the people I know have a gun of some sorts. I live in a pretty upscale area so no people don't really have them for self defense that much. When I travel, I always carry a gun. We have Concealed Handgun Licenses.

And yeah you can walk around with a gun if you have one.

I have an antique rifle - a model 1912 7mm Mauser bolt-action rifle. I can consistently hit those tiny sausage cans at 200 yards with it.

No...  but my dad has a few riffles he inherited from my grandpa that were used in WWII...  And I have an uncle that holds guns for the Canadian Military and also for the Hell's Angels...  He worked at a gun range for years and got buddy buddy with a lot of different people...

Don't need one, and i honestly don't know anyone who has one.. i also have no idea where on earth i'd be able to get one..
Then again, i don't live in the USA.

I have two that are gifts from my dad. One used to belong to my great grandpa.

Hubby used to have a couple of rifles and a shotgun, but he got rid of them when we had our little guy.
