My black friend used to call me it all the time because he thought it was funny that I wouldn't call him it back and that I was white lol. I didn't mind at all, though I'm white so it's different. I started calling him honky and the first time I did he nearly died laughing. I don't know, I feel like for anyone insulting another person it depends on their relationship with each other and how they get along.
Do you mind when another black person calls you the N word?

Cascadeking knows his stuff. Anyways, Vance is black. But I just wouldn't want him calling me "n!gga", with most black people I wouldn't mind tho.
Is Gambler black? Well with Buckshot and Gambler I wouldn't mind. Vance is cool, but he wouldn't class me as a bro I think. He probably wouldn't like me calling him "n!gga" anyways,

I think what Malcolm was looking at was more of what his race had to go through and what we had to do to put an end. There's nothing small about that. Freedom was their main goal, the two of them could always agree on that. It's not like he changed from by any means to nonviolence and then back to by any means, he didn't really care how they got there as long as they did. In the end that's the picture the two of them had been looking at all along.
Perhaps, but remember after he's joined islam, he noticed that he had 'brothers' of all races and that included white people. I can understand how he felt about his people, and as big as it may seem, was still much smaller than viewing the overall bigger picture. If all races can harmonize as one single species. They wouldn't have the problem of slavery or hate from the get go.
That's true, but how would he have gone about harmonizing with murderers? He didn't view it that way because it wasn't that way for him, it wasnt about this race vs that race to him but the violence that came along with his skin color. He didn't just experience a lot of racism and hate, his family and friends were murdered because of the color of their skin. He and MLK lead completely different lives, but they had the same goal. That's all I'm saying, Not that he suddenly started to see things MLK's way as if he was wrong before, but things just stopped being that way for him.

There should be a ComicVineBlack.com with all these specific threads.
There should be a Spam section of Comic Vine where the moderators can move all un-bannable but still pretty much worthless threads.
Yeah, that's called Off-Topic.@texasdeathmatch said:

The funny thing is it's true.
I don't know why my blackness is always in question with you. I'm sorry I don't act my race on the internet. We see other black people call other black people ''n!gga'', like ''sup my n!gga''. Yet tension rises when a white person calls a black person it.
Personally, I don't mind if another black person calls me it. Like, I wouldn't mind if Static Shock called me by it. Yet if another user like Vance Astro called me it, I would mind it.
Do you?

If they do, I don't really care, it's just a word. I feel like you have something against me personally though.

I'm white, and I love it when people call me n!gga.
Blacks people call me the N word all the time and I don't care. But I can understand why other blacks don't like it
Nah, I think most people see it as two different words and even still we don't want people who aren't black saying either.Am I the only person who sees two totally different words. N!gga is NOT N!gger. One has more letters. They have a different ending. One was a racial slur that no ones says anymore. N!gga is a new word that has a different meaning.

WTF? How about we just agree to not use any racial slurs on Comic Vine?
http://www.comicvine.com/forums/off-topic/5/ask-static-shock/654831/?page=134
Page 134 and 135 is what I meant. Read what I said to Static, it's complicated.
But I know it's okay when one black person calls another black person the N word, yet when a white person says it to a black person, it's not cool. So I'm asking people that are black, do you mind when another black person calls you it?
How would you know? This is a comic forum I could lie and say I was a fourteen year old girl if I wanted.
As an ACTUAL 14 year old girl, I am very offended.
Hmmm. I dont mind if a black guy/gal called me nigga. Not being used to offend me as im not black, its simply a greeting.

Do you think a white person has ever been offended by that word? Or cracker? I think cracker's an adorable slur.

It doesn't mean something different when white people say it, most people just don't want white people saying it because we feel like it's exclusive to us now.@Vance Astro: @Mr_Winchester: @daredevil21134:
When a black person says "N!gga what does it mean?
When a white person says "N!gga" what does it mean?
Can you think of any other word that means something different depending on what ethnicity says it?
Nah, I have a lot of friends that use that word quite a bit. Some don't even care if the white guys are saying, depending on how much they know them. I've never heard it being used with a negative connotation in my circles. Words don't mean much to me without context, and I'm not black, by the way.
@Sexy Merc: I'm not black, by the way
Really? I thought you were black.
@Vance Astro: most people just don't want white people saying it because we feel like it's exclusive to us now.
I'm cool with that reason. I believe in Karma, what goes around comes around. for so long, in extreme ways, whites had many things that were exclusive to them. I would like to say N!gga but my NEGRAPH says I can't.....EVER
