Do you like the sea?

#2 Edited by russellmania77 (15440 posts) - - Show Bio

I guess

Sure, I come from a coastal nation after all.

As a kid I lived in Florida. We'd go to the beach on occasion and I hated it. I was scared of crabs, thought dolphins were sharks and saw a tattered volleyball rolling down a hill and thought it was a mummy's head. As an adult I now understand these to be nonsensical but have no desire to be around any natural body of water.

er... yes?

Like, how could you dislike it?

Haha this part made me laugh a little. I always thought crabs were adorable as a kid. Did you like eating crabs though?

The sea is a, yet dangerous and disturbing thing. Yes, I do like the sea.

lol, that's the first thing that came up in my mind when I saw the sea as a kid :l

I think it's beautiful and I wouldn't want to do away with it but I don't like going near it. I can't stand swimming in salt water and I always step on shells and sharp rocks. The best experience I've had with the sea was a cruise when I was younger and still carried a stuffed llama around.

I have an almost irrational fear of the ocean and the things that live in it....I mean there are things in there that could swallow me whole and wouldn't even realize that they did

#16 Posted by guttridgeb (4832 posts) - - Show Bio

It irritates me, plus its far too cold where I live...

Love it. I've lived my whole life no further than two miles from the sea.

Though i'm not a beach fan, as in laying on the sand in the sun all day. I get bored to tears.

My most fear is things that lurk beneath the water

the thought that at any moment it could be just out of sight in the cold darkness of the water. ahhhh im cringing just thinking about it.

I have never been so far, for so long, away from the sea.

The Great Lakes are nothing compared to my Pacific Ocean -- I can hear it crying for me all the time. Sounds oddly like me.

No, I can't swim, find the ocean disgusting, and I'm afraid of being stung by a jellyfish.

Scared to death of it.....

It not the ocean you have to fear but what lurks in it ;)
