Do Women Really Find This Attractive?

Personality, status, effort, and all things other than pure physical attractiveness aside, does anyone actually think this is an even remotely attractive look for a man?

I'm just wondering because I see a lot of guys sink a whole lot of time into trying to achieve bodies like in those pictures, but to me this is like the male equivalent of anorexiclly skinny female models. If you push yourself too far in trying to achieve some messed up view of perfection you end up unattractive and working to maintain an unhealthy lifestyle.

Pft, this is what skinny bruhs be saying to justify their small size.

What's the scenario bodybuilders are training for, having to lift a heavy object, hold it for a few seconds, and then place it back on the ground in the same spot? Also I'd rather not have to down enough protein powder to feed a small village.

That actually is a very good comparison. The fat percentage you have to have is so low, I don't think it's healthy.

Most women I know don't like a muscle head. They just want some scrawny kid with abs lol

@darryl: Arnold had a great physique but there are better ones imo like Lee Haney and Flex Wheeler.

I was just pulling your leg, and don't really care to answer your inquiry about the usefulness of lifting weights/bodybuilding. It's subjective and some guys do it for looks, athletic performance, etc. I do it for looks and to be strong personally.

I came here expecting to see a picture of me, to which the answer would've been a "You goddamn right they do".

Cavill's look is the way to go. He trained for strength, conditioning, and hypertrophy. All this made him look great for his role in MOS.

Same could probably be said about Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine.

@darryl: it's weird how things changed. Back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s it was all about muscularity, strength and ruggedness. Now guys wear skinny jeans and being skinny is attractive. Sure bodybuilding is kind of coming back but it isn't as popular. Then there's these wanna be "bros" out there. Bleh. Maybe I'm just too old school/ hardcore.

@wolverine08: People seem to have a thing against bodybuilding. Besides the individuals who use steroids and over work the muscles... I can't think of a thing wrong with it.

@darryl: I never found either of those guys attractive. I remember when I first saw Beiber, I thought he was a girl.

I don't really get it tbh. Like you said, as long as you aren't overdoing it, using illegal substances, etc. What's the matter with wanting to look good?

I know some girls that do...i mean you do see these guys with women so some women must.

That's kind of the whole goal in Bodybuilding though.

Not really. You're just trying to create growth through the process of hypertrophy in your muscles. Big difference between that and overworking them.

@wolverine08: @silverpool: Yeah, overworked muscles are a truly horrendous sight. None of those men in the photos have them though.

I'm sure going to the gym every day to cause tears in one's muscles would be considered overworking to some people.
