Do prefer brief or detailed explanations from Doctors when they prescript/advice something?

I came from the Doctor disappointed once again! 
 
As I watch House a lot I guess in the rare occasions a Doctors sees me I expect a huge detailed explanation of everything. Unfortunately I never met many doctors whiling to "waste" many time with my concerns....

When I go to the Doctor, I want to know everything there is about the problem and the best options there are.

If I want a detailed explanation, I get checked out for a life insurance policy. When someone has to put a dollar value on you, they sure as hell want to know what's wrong with you.

             I think Doctors a so busy that they don't have the time to tell you everything and hope you're smart enough to do it yourself.  "
