I love both of em but you force me to be serious, Pokemon is above another level than digimon. Most people would know way more about Pokemon, more people had Pokemon cards as kids, hell even Obama has sang the theme song. "I wanna be the very best, that no one ever was". As a kid (6 yrs old or so) there where middle schoolers that stood on the top floor of an apt and threw a sh*t load of Pokemon cards down and we all pushed each other around to get the best one (I got charzard btw lol)
Digimon, looking back at Pokemon the anime was...... How do I put this...... not that good it was basicly the same thing every freeking episode with Team Rocket and after 700+ epsidoes Ash yet to still win anything,the plot is average at best and Pokemon Black and White is unbeareble to watch I tried to watch it on two occasions and both times I had to turn the TV because it was terrible.....While Digimon had a better plot,better character,better animation etc,etc. To be honest I would take Bakugon over Pokemon even if it as as some people say a "Yu-Gi-Oh! rip off".
Digimon had a better show. i stopped watching pokemon after a while because the show had simply become boring and annoying but i never missed an episode of Digimon (If i could help it). i'll admit that Pokemon had better games though.
Digimond had better shows on a consistent basis. Pokemon for me really went down hill rather quickly after season 3. Digimon by their 3rd season became their best and I loved the fourth season as well. But for games, Pokemon beats them pretty badly.
Like many are saying..digimon edges out in the anime department. Mostly because of the artwork and legitimate storyline. The Pokemon anime (while entertaining up to the 4th season) was mostly the same thing over and over until the crew got to a gym or other major event.
The Pokemon games however have Digimon beat bad. That isn't to say that the Digimon games were bad (Digimon World 2 and 3 for Playstation are two of my favorite games of all time) but overall compared to the pokemon games they just don't match up. Game sales across the years attest to this.

Digimon the cartoon is better which is what I voted for. Honestly how many team rocket flying off again can u stand u until it gets old? Same story line every episode in pokemon. Games otherwise ill give it to pokemon (video games)

oh BlackWargreymon, one of the noblest sacrifices in cartoon history.
Though Pokemon is a child classic and a fan favorite, I just think it's too childish. I'm not saying digimon isn't childish but digimon's creatures look immensely better. (more badass, more deadly, etc) of course it's my opinion but I always enjoyed Digimon more.
