Anyone going to play this? Or has anyone ever played D2?
Diablo 3
I have Diablo 2, but I never finished it. I thought the first Diablo was better.
Besides, I think Lineage Eternal looks better than Diablo 3.

@Static Shock:Wow first Guild Wars now that. NcSoft is really taking it to Blizard...
I know, right. I take it you watched the video? LOL.
It's clear that Diablo 3 will sell better and have better reception. But, that's only because of the game's title and Blizzard's reputation in the video game industry. I care more about the quality of a game than all of that.

Makes me wish I had a gaming PC. Though if it follows the Witcher 2's lead then I would.
What do you mean?

It's a good thing though. I play Wow from 2004 to 2010 and quit before Cataclysm came out. The quality of the game has dropped severely because they lacked any competition. I hope that Guild Wars 2 and Old Republic force Blizzard to make a better quality prodocut and I hope this new game makes Blizzard make D3 the best game it can be.

You dont need a gaming PC. Sure it would be nice to have the graphics on high and such but its not required. I've played WoW/ SWTOR/ RIFT/ AION all on a Dell Inspirion M5030. I dont have to keep the graphics on a low low setting but they cannot be maxed.

I started playing WoW a year ago. After Cata. I've been playing the MOP Beta. Looks like it's gonna get better :)
Never played the previous games. Not really a fantasy guy and was too busy with other games during that era (Starcraft, Half-Life, Tribes, consoles, etc). Played the open beta and had a good time, but I can't say I'm really in a rush to get it. I'll likely have more fun with Max Payne 3 for the time being. But, when I do get it, I'll definitely be the Demon Hunter.

Hmmmmm.....
:)
@Static Shock: Wut o.o
And the only reason I have D3 is because I signed up for the year pass. FREE D3! But I did forget to download it and now the eu client is giving me trouble.. Thats what I get for preferring EU servers over American I think...
@Antoinette: What I meant to say is that if it doesn't require a gaming computer, I might consider getting it.
lol no game requires a gaming computer. Its nice to have the graphics and stuff but not a necessity. Even with the changes that Blizz is making with the Graphics for MOP isnt that big a deal for my computer. And I've been playing MOP Beta for awhile now :D
@Antoinette: You sure? I'm saying this because I played the first Crysis on my sister's desktop. She has a GeForce HD graphics card, and the game barely ran on low settings. She also didn't have sufficient enough RAM, either. The computer was relatively new at the time, while the game itself was four years old. Things like that would have to be a necessity for the game to run properly, especially for a game like Crysis (and their expensive Crytek engine).
@Static Shock: I said it didnt requite a gaming computer. I never said it didnt require an at least semi decent one :P

Guild wars 2 is all i'm going to be playing lol.
I wish I could say the same. However, NCSoft is toying with the idea of bringing it to consoles.

Makes sense. LOL.
@Static Shock: My logic wins :D
So far everything seems to be running smoothly. I got it downloaded finally after 3 attempts with the stupid Euro downloader. Switched to American and its working fine. Now if I can get past #error37...
4gig Ram (need to upgrade that major)
And graphics is AMD Vision.
I cant tell you much else because I'm not touching anything in it until the warranty runs up... in another year lol
It really is just a basic model laptop.
I played the hell out of Diablo 2, I've beaten it with each character except the paladin. I'm excited about Diablo 3 but I'm almost positive my computer won't be able to run it.
Ive played it. I love the multiplayer aspect. Deathshroud came and played with me as well as a friend of mine from WoW. I do love the fact that I can play on American or Euro servers despite the fact that my American sub to Wow isnt active. I do have a bit of lag. Not sure if it is because of my laptop or not.
@Static Shock: So it seems that maybe a halfway decent computer can run it but you will get some lag. But its bearable for me. Maybe not the people I play with lol. (Btw I'm Antoinette too :P)
I wouldnt say a ten. There are some aspects of the game that I dont like. The point and click part is rather annoying. But over all it seems like a decent game.
@ReVamp: lol I'm not really biased. I have to say now that the lag is gone I actually do like the game. I do not like the pointing and clicking. I want to move her like I do my Toon on WoW. I want to move the camera angle... but can not. But other then that its an interesting game with interesting lore.

I love how you gave me a factual answer, though I was blatantly trolling.

I thought the point-and-click days were over. I'm too much of a joypad guy.
I'm on the fence. Blizzard makes some of the finest games that have ever been created, but I have serious issues with the fact that you have to log on to a remote server, even if you only want to play single player. That's just too much of a big brother attitude for me to be comfortable with. I also don't like the fact that it means that technical issues on their end mean that I won't be able to play the single-player game that I purchased and installed on my machine. If it is truly a single-player game, you should be able to play it if everything in your machine is in order, end of story. So really, what they're saying is a single-player game with multi-player option is really just an MMORPG that you can play by yourself.
