I've been taking sleep formula pills for 7-8 years now. For the past year or so, I've taken them at least once a week.

If I stop taking them, will I go through withdrawal?

Depends on what you've been taking and in what dosage.

The GABA Z-Drugs such as Zaleplon, Zolpidem and Zopiclone can be taken long-term without much chance for addiction so if it's one of those you'll probably be fine in the long-run. As far as 'withdrawal' goes you might find it more difficult to sleep since your body has been so dependent on medication to get the job done for it.
