If you're using Nolanites for one group, shouldn't the other be called Whedonites?

#7 Posted by Crom-Cruach (8876 posts) - - Show Bio

The Dark Knight is a much better movie then avengers.

#8 Posted by gor724 (840 posts) - - Show Bio

avengers.

nolan sucks.

I'm just asking, WHY!?!?! I can see if you like Avenger more, I'm fine with that, but you think Nolans Batman sucks?

#9 Posted by kasino (1785 posts) - - Show Bio

Nolan movies where so much better then Marvel. As well as MoS.

give me "what if superheroes exist" vs making a live action Marvel cartoon.

Actually, it had a lot of character development. Way more than the Avengers. Avengers actually had no character development at all. And they gave Batman that voice to make it realistic. They can't just have him talk normally and expect no one to have suspicion. Bane was Bane. And if you don't think Heath Ledgers performance was groundbreaking, and one of the best performances in movie history, go f*ck yourself.

TDK was one of the best movies story wise, Man of Steel was one of the best movies Action wise (it also made me want to tear up on 3 occasions) and the Avengers was an average film all around. It didnt take the threat seriously and the villain was almost as campy as Superman 2 Zod. It made the billion cus of great advertising and it being the first team movie. All I can say is I bet Justice League can do it better.

@v_scarlotte_rose: I actually have used the word "Whedonite".

I enjoy some of Whedon's stuff, but I know his track record isn't spotless (I'm looking at you, Alien Resurrection).

Something i hate, how people say The Joker is not funny.

He is doing the Duck Tales Intro, he made Scrooge McDuck proud!!!
Joke
Joke
Joke

The guy was making comedy all over the movie, the main problem is that he is more like Arrested Development and Fraiser.

Nicholson is more like Friends and The Big Bang Theory.

One depends on you pay attention to the jokes and the other depend on Laugh tracks.

Nicholson Joker wasnt even a Joker at all, all the movie he was trying to have sex with some female, Burton Joker had a problem with The Batman, beacause he was trying to get laid with the same female.

Is good to see that with time people is getting bored of The Avengers and people is finally calling Whedonites by their name.

TDK

Begins

Rises

were all better then Marvel movies

their best and seemingly the one they want you to forget is The Incredible Hulk. It was a perfect Hulk movie. He was hunted. He didn't want or try to be a hero, actually searching for the cure. His entire reason for fighting the Abomination was for his selfish love of betty and wanting to please her. the fight scene was great. he just didn't start beating on Abomination, he actually had to fight and get over the hump(unlike the avengers who once their inner quarrel ended whipped the floor with the invaders). they had a clear sequel with the Leader at the end as well.

man that was a great superhero(he wasn't really a superhero) movie

Comparing these two makes no sense. They're completely different films trying to do completely different things.

#36 Edited by King Saturn (225704 posts) - - Show Bio

Both are Great Films... Two Different Tastes.

In a sense, it's like when people compare Man of Steel and The Avengers... both Good Films ( I liked The Avengers better personally ) but they are different in tone, taste and overall concept.

I never seen this question before. Most of the time its Dark Knight Rises vs Avengers, I have never seen Dark Knight vs Avengers

Dark Knight is one of the best superhero films ever, Avengers was just mediocre. It had zero story, zero character development, and just a ton of cheesiness, a lot of great action brings it up from being bad but it's still just average in my opinion.

You mean an action movie was only good at being an action movie? Shocking

Terminator were Action Movies and were good actions movies and great movie, not just action movies.

Obviously The Dark Knight. It's barely even a competition.

#47 Posted by _Braveheart_ (2038 posts) - - Show Bio

My vote goes to The Dark Knight.

#48 Posted by GeekBait (785 posts) - - Show Bio

I still need to watch the Avengers, as well as the other MCU (not counting TASM) movies. I'm slacking.

The Avengers was a great movie. What i'm saying is you can't say a movie is bad for not accomplishing things, it wasn't trying to do in the first place
