In my opinion Hendo is the best.

Dan has beaten "Shogun" Rua (Epic fight tonight!), Fedor Emilianenko, Babalu, Vitor Belfort, Wanderlei Silva, Rich Franklin, Bustamante, and no one will ever forget his destruction of Michael Bisping. He owned the first round against Anderson Silva and just got caught in the second with the submission. Sh*t happens but I feel Hendo could take him in a rematch. Hendo's gunning for the LH Title right now though so whether it's Jon Jones, Lyoto Machida, or Rashad Evans next watch the f*ck out.

I know some will argue for Anderson Silva or maybe George St. Pierre and rightfully so but I'll go with Henderson.

I love Hendo a lot but I disagree. I don't even think he's the greatest American fighter ever.

I don't know anyone who has beaten as much quality opponents as him though.

Tank Abbott got his block knocked off by Kimbo Slice... fight didn't even last one minute. I think the same thing happened when Tank fought Paul Buentello. Tank is not really a good fighter... while Dan Henderson is one of the Elite.

@King Saturn: Ah I see. Well Tank is just a throwback to the early chaotic days and I've been a fan of his for a long time. Every fighter loses but as long as they come to fight, and Tank always did, then I have nothing but respect for it. Since it's Hendo's thread I'll send ya a good Tank video in a PM. Kimbo has some boxing ability and caught Tank very late in the game. Sucks but it happens.

I don't know about Tank always coming to fight... dude has quite a few first round losses where he went out in 1 - 2 minutes... I count at least 6 fights where Tank was done very early in the fight.

All-time: Matt Hughes. Hendo has beaten more quality opponents, but I'm taking title defences and all that into consideration.

okay... I would probably take Hendo over Hughes though... Hendo has the better chin and KO power that makes him a more exciting fighter to watch IMO.
