Courage the cowardly dog and John Constantine

I was watching courage the other day and i thought that he and Constantine are very simillar. The difference is one is a human who uses magic and manipulation and one is a dog who uses his quick thinking

Is Courage a chain smoking manipulator who's friends constantly die and almost died of cancer but tricked the devil in curing him ? If the answer is no then there you have it.

Actually I think that did happen in one or two episodes. XD

This was the reason they take out this one out of CN, they notice it was too mature and decide to only put PPG, since it sucked and was stupidly lame.

Ya i usually get confused between those two things
