Just wondering if there are any fellow cosplayers on this form, whether Anime or Comics, if you do what conventions have you gone to and who did you cosplay as? I've been to Anime North and Matsuricon as Sosuke Aizen from Bleach

i cosplay and i attend the steel city comic con in pittsburgh, pa the first time i dressed i was atom eve and the 2nd i was kitty pryde. i have a queen angella costume being made. on my fb acct there are photos from the cons i attended and a folder with future and possible costume ideas
For me i think it would be weird for me to do it lol. but got nothing against others, they look pretty good.
@umbrafeline: awesome i have a cosplay page called Cosplay Jack on Facebook its mostly a little forum but if you have a page look it up on facebook, could bounce ideas and con info off each other

Yes, it would be weird as Jean Luc Picard cosplaying as a Q. LOL!
Last night, while on liberty, I saw a group of girls cosplaying as japanese schoolgirls. pink dresses, the neckerchiefs, the works. I realized one looked really weird, almost awkward. Turned out being a dude. No more cosplay in my life. Too many freaks.

@nickthedevil: haha yeah that happens sometimes, but i made it my rule when i go to cons its to each their own, as long as they dont try to push it on me all is good.,
@Bruxae: ah that sucks, but hey message me on facebook at Cosplay Jack and if you ever want to know of any cons in your area or any other fandom events i can help you out

@Bushwhacker_: awesome, last year at matsuricon i was talking to Chris Sabot, and is next stop was Dragon Con. it sounded like fun but its a little far for me
@The Stegman: nice, hey if you live in the north east you should check out anime north in Toronto its a awesome con
one of the last times i went to steel city i saw a guy dressed as iron man. i inquired about his costume and the man said its made of fiberglass and took about 10 months to make
he also told me about a time at a show where robocop was appearing and said that some guy spent $x to make a replica robocop costume and also said that tom welling or whoever didnt care for it
When I was a wee lad (senior in high school) I went to "costume day" as Nightcrawler in Southeast Texas..(eryup..you can imagine how that went down) spandex and everything. Got in a huge fight with a red neck guy (STILL stunned that I won), but yeah pretty much gave up cosplay after that. shrug

what caused the scuffle?
It was at breakfast in the cafeteria and guy was calling me a homo and all sorts of stuff, which I didn't give a crap about, til he shoved me. I warned him once to not touch me again, whenhe did I jumped, straddled his abdoment and started hitting him in the eyes with my scrawny elbows in his eyes. Broke one his orbital ridges and got suspended, and kinda laughed at by the principal.
I Cosplayed as Kousuke from Bleach cause I have Draidlocks, Like glasses ad I'm black sooo he perfect for me

reminds me of a fight i got in 10th grade law-related 1 class. a kid whos a known bully started stuff, so i gave him the finger, he jumped at me, we both went at it. i got suspended and fined. i think he got a slap on the wrist. but that was the last time anybody in that school placed their mitts on me =)
Whish I could say it was MY last, but I was a skinny, artsy kid who liked comic books in a smmmmaaaaalll hick town in Southeast Texas, on the border of Louisiana. Luuuckily my uncle who was in Special Forces taught me to fight. I didn't always win God knows, but it served me well enough that I wasn't constantly picked on. Good for you btw...I'd never even heard of fines in the dinosaur ages when I was in school though.

this was in the mid 90s and my uncle [moms brother] was the district justice of the town and a neighboring community. it was my last fight in school but not the last time i was picked on
