Comic Vine Weekly News: 2/18/11

well, she's not as little known as all the nobodies wes craven cast in the crappy movie my soul to take. she has been in smallville, aquaman, supernatural, the movie legion(where she was the main character), and friday night lights, she certainly has more experience that that tanit phoenix chick from lost boys the thirst.

 Anyway, I'm still not convinced that the upcoming X-Men movie will be good.

Excited about the upcoming Wonder Woman show... not sure about the casting yet though....

I gave my full opinion of the X-Men: First Class trailer in my Blog Post Breakdown. BTW, January Jones confirmed we will be disappointed with the movie when she said this in an interview: " You can’t please everyone, but the goal is to not disappoint everyone"  The new Spider-Man movie hype has been awesome! I just heard something that worried me though. "

I really don't know enough on Adrianne Palicki to voice an opinion one way or another. I looked through her credits and not much I could really remember her by. Still, better that they went with a lesser known actress. Just have to wait and see what the writers do.
 
Arkham City doesn't need multiplayer as long as the single player can at least par with the first game. If it excels. I'd rather them not waste time forcing in a multiplayer to a game that doesn't need it and spend more time and money to make a great single player. That's even better. Only down side is September is too far away.

Can't call me really skeptical on XM: First Class. After their announce of Emma. The movie was DOA to me and completely turned off about it. It pays to always be skeptical when it come to Hollywood interpretations of comics. It's not as if they have the best track record adapting comiccharacters(Marvel characters especially). There's Iron Man, Batman reboots........and that's pretty much it.
That said, the Amazing Spider-man movie looks to be having some potential, but still plenty of time for them to crap that up with something.

X-Men still has ripoff written all over it, but thats probably due to me being used to the previous trilogy. 
 
Expo...still in London...and the movie effects still look bad.

well i plan on seeing the x-men movie no matter how much they jumble characters around 
i really liked the spiderman pic it was sweet 
wish i could go to that expo

Oh yeah! I wouldn't mind going to MCM EXPO. Considering I've never been to a comic book convention or anty for that matter. Might be a lot of fun. =]

Love her from Friday Night Lights. Superman looks like it was cast really well. Batman AC doesn't need multiplayer. 

I don't like Spidey's costume. Too much like the Ben Reilly Spider-Man costume.

Excited and happy, cannot wait for the new Wonder Woman show--but the lead caster seems... I don't really know how to put it but...

I could care less about the actress playing Wonder Woman.  I'm more concerned over the atrocious plot details that have been leaked.  Did nobody else see this?   
 

I'm actually warming up to the X-Men First Class trailer and movie as a whole. 
I don't think it'll be GREAT, but if you think of this just like a separate entity from the abomination that eventually was the X-Men movie series, I think it could be decent. 
Still think Fassbender and McAvoy were great choices.

lots of good news.. that was awesome babs.. im excited for everything...wonder woman( really hope its good) superman, batman x-men, siderman, green lantern.. thor.. probably the least excited for captain america even tho i liked the old movie.. anyways its going to be a good year..

So excited about  about all that news. It's going to be a great year for comic fans!

At this point I am pretty much OMG I 'm So Excited about all of the upcoming superhero projects except Green Lantern and I am not drinking the Haterade just yet on Wonder Woman but picking a blonde with silicone was not a choice that instills confidence.

I admit I am not a huge comic fan, but I do like video segments that talk about them! This news feature is very nice and a good way to keep in touch with comic news; especially pertaining to the trans-media stuff.

i dont think i have ever seen lips that shiny before

I'm all good for X-Men movie. It looks as if it wants to bring us strong character performances but still sneak in the moments where everyone goes, 'awh yea' (like Magneto and his demonstration of power in the trailer)  
 
None of the acting for the movie seems too melodramatic either and I think that works better. Play it straight, no need to go to extremes just because its a movie about superheroes. I also like how i have seen costumes used so far, colorful and bright, but not corny and definitely not biker gang leather.  
 
It might be boring though or flat. Ah well, fingers crossed.  
 
Much more apprehensive about Wonder Woman. Please don't ruin my favorite DC character TV people-who-usually-screw-these-things-up. Also wish I could go to fancy conventions sponsored by Green Lantern. Man-hunters lol...
