Which one do, or did, you spend time on first when you get/got situated?
Be honest.
@okayalright_44: Get your Homework done man.
@shadowswordmaster: It's so hard to start on it doe....!!!
@okayalright_44: But if you do it early , you have more time to have fun here.
I try to balance it out evenly. Homework than I go on this site or youtube or whatever.
Good excuse 2 be here huh? Asking about homework 2 avoid homework .later you'll tell your parents you were working on your homework. That's how you tick, huh? Fist bump
Homework. Maybe take short breaks wherein you go on CV.
Homework big time. And if I don't do my homework, I sure as hell won't spend that time on comic vine.
Go do your homework or Squares will correct your grammar for the rest of your days.
She's right.
I don't think you were really looking for a lecture from the other side of the generation gap, so I'll try to keep this short: do the homework. CV will be here when you're done.
There's something wrong with high school. We put the most educational importance on it- rating how you did there to determine how many choices you have for colleges, or even what job you may get. This is kind of stupid, because all a high school kid wants is to get out of high school. Although it's not a completely accurate view, getting out represents the end of people dictating your day and the beginning of you getting to make your own choices. It's why so many go buck wild at college. Hell, if we really wanted to evaluate people, we'd evaluate them based on college, and how they did once they were able to make their own decisions. We don't do that though, because we red facedly admit to ourselves that we most all effed up in college (if we went).
Anyway, I'm a bit hungry, so I'm straying from my point, which is this: I think we emphasize importance on the wrong things in high school. We emphasize doing the work and making good grades so you can have more choices for colleges. In retrospect (for me), that is important, but that shouldn't have been what was drilled into my head. What should have been drilled into my head was that I needed to be deciding what I wanted the rest of my life to be. If you don't decide until you get out of high school, you're going to be behind.
I'm not talking about being rigidly focused on what you want to be as an adult, because I do think that kids should be kids too. But you're kind of inbetween as a high school aged teen. Your teen years are the years that you need to start realizing what your passions are. Is it games? Comics? Science? Math? History? Writing? Art? Acting? What is it? Because that thing you enjoy the most outside of sex is probably the thing you should be trying to do the rest of your life. But there's steps to getting there, and that's why you need to be thinking about it now, because you need to be figuring out what those steps are, and pointing yourself in that direction.
You can have fun along the way, and sure, CV is fun if that's what you like (and I do). But is it a step towards what you want to do for the rest of your life?
In most cases, those steps are going to take you through college and other training. Yes, there are people who made it without getting a full education, but in most cases, college is necessary.
The step before that though is high school.
So do your homework. ;)
@cbishop: wow. Long post.. trying to be more like sc, are you?
Homework, but it really depends on your age. If you're younger than a college graduate homework would probably stomp.
Homework.
It's the best choice. It is the obvious choice. It is the only choice.
Couldn't put it better!
Procrastination is my main skill.
When I first joined the site six years ago, I totally did comic vine instead of homework lol I would stay up all night in the RP section just talking to everyone.
