Comic Vine is falling apart

Okay so i have saw many comments about comic vine and it's problems for the past week.

• Numerous amounts of 404 errors
• Post Eating Bugs
• Notification Bugs
• Page Shifting
• Page Glitching
• Losing Wiki Points
• Avatar and Image Bugs

What has happened?

Apparently the site is having a problem saving data.

As far as I can gather, we're having some site issues worked on at the minute, that's why we've had a few periods of downtime today. Hopefully we'll be back to normal soon :)

@xwraith: @bumpyboo: that's why i keep on losing my number of posts. It was 299 like an hour ago

Just wondering but has anyone experienced their post count going down?

Sometimes I post something and my post count either stays the same or drops a couple times? I only noticed this like 2 days ago but yeah.

They're gradually rolling out new code. Everything should be back in order next week.

Yeah, I'm getting a load of the first three.

The Mods want to protect CV but they dont wanna change it.

Yeah it's definitely frustrating, as @inferiorego said though, over the next week we should hopefully see some improvements.

This isn't a mod issue, it's an engineer issue.

This site will never be fixed, it's been a year and a half, and it's gotten worse month by month.

If this were any other job, the site engineers would have been fired by now and probably sued for damages against the site, losing them revenue for not fixing anything.

The mods don't have anything to do with it...

And the prize of optimimist of the wek goes to!!!!!

@laflux: I'm optimist because I think the site will stay up, I'm just expecting it to crash and burn forever soon :P

I thought it was just me...the notification bug is by far the most annoying one IMO...as I say this i tried posting the part up to IMO and it glitched out.

EDIT: What is page shifting? Is that why when I go into battles and then refresh the stuff from page two will be on page one and vice versa?

just wanna report a new glitch. bumpyboos mod tag isnt even showing anymore. and yes it took me 3 times to get here too. now i just leave my finger on the refresh button as i know it wont work the first time.

The search bar is sofa king we todd ed as well. I have to hit up google, which will then link me to what i want on the vine...forever alone.

Your mod tag shows up for me, but like you said some others don't...this is the worst thing to happen since Miley Cyrus.

This never would have happened pre-update :(

Threads I create also have 'invisible' posts and sometimes the number of replies go down.

Moved this to "Bug Reporting" so coder-folks can see what the problems are.

I'm also having slight problems posting. Sometimes when I press post reply it says something went wrong and we are working on it. so I have to click it multiple times

Same here.I guess they are doing some updates.

Also, at least in the fan-fic forum, the thread listing is not showing the latest posts for each thread- it's showing at minimum "1 day ago." It's also not showing new posts to the forum. I got a notification where ImpurestCheese called me out for a posting of The Black Casebook #2, but it's not showing in the forum listing.

Edit: (about a minute or two later) This problem appears to be fixed now.

I was wondering if I was the only one but apparently not. My main problem is that some pages appear to be "in the past". By this I mean, on the forums, threads keep coming up which are days old rather than the most recently commented ones.

Most be a crack team of coders working around the clock here.

Multiple numbered failures when loading pages, repeated errors when trying to post/see who's responded... getting annoying :)

If you click on your notifications the 99 will go away. It trying to tell you that you have a notification. But it will come back if you have a notification
