Ideally, a thread where anyone can help others out; but for now, since it's just starting, I thought it'd just be me helping others. I thought I'd take on other helpers and edit them into the OP as a list of helpers, but since it's just starting I thought it would just be me helping others.

This is a nice idea, might lessen the load on the Mods, and the amount of threads a little, so long as the questions are answered correctly.

But seriously, I'd probably do a reasonably thorough search of proxy's, ban all their IP ranges and then just keep IP banning the spammers. That'd help a tremendous amount, likely. I doubt any upstanding users use proxy's just to use this site. I mean, unless they're like, in China... Which I doubt pretty much anyone on this site is. :P And even so, they probably use proxy's harder to find than, say, a google search.

Basically, ban lots of well-known proxy's.

Yup! I don't know why people think the moderators and staff aren't aware of the spam threads. They're not exactly hard to find. Basically, people want to feel useful, and possibly feel better than the moderators, or just suck up to them by thinking they're helping; possibly a combination of some of those feelings. Just a theory. But yes, making a lot of threads about spam threads is pretty much just spamming about spamming.
