We have a woman now making nonsense up for no apparent reason, claiming that she didn't ''intend'' for others to use for propaganda.

People pay her to do comedy? She's terrible at it.

Silverman also did a propaganda video as a hit piece against the NRA. The video is a mock ad for something called the "Black NRA" It's supposed to be funny because apparently everybody who supports the right to bear arms is secretly a racist who just wants to kill black people, so the Black NRA is supposed to infuriate conservatives who fear black men. It's ridiculously dim witted.

There is already a real life black NRA; it's called the NRA. Civil rights apply to us all. I absolutely do want to see young black males armed.

Making up stories for the sake of a joke is one thing. Making up a story to sell the idea that women are underpaid (which is not even accurate) is manipulative and dishonest.

She may have used it in stand up, but that's not why she's drawing fire. She's drawing fire for specifically telling the lie in a political ad, and she trashed an innocent guy in the process. Edit: Nah, I had to edit this. It's not whiny. It's a celebration of her own victimhood. Boo hoo! I'm a woman. I'm oppressed. Sadly, I don't know of a good word for glorifying in victimization, but society needs to invent the word because it's a very popular past time these days.

Here - this takes into consideration hours worked and occupation and race.

Both say you are wrong, some occupations show that women make more then men.

I'm not in a position to google some links at the moment, but the 76 cents on the dollar angle is absolutely busted. Even honest feminist progressives who believe in the wage gap and want legislation to address it will admit that when the type of job is favored in, the wage gap shrinks from 76 cents on the dollar to 93 cents on a dollar, a much smaller gap. From here, there is some room for debate and there aren't a ton of studies, but some of those studies suggest the wage gap completely disappears when you factor in some of the aspects that Silky mentioned.

Actually, some of the studies suggest that the wage gap is so small as to be in the statistical range of error, so the wage gap might not exist at all. Even if it does, legislation isn't the answer because it would be impossible to quantify in a court of law whether two individuals actually did the same amount of work. I do more work than my two co-workers on most days, but I'm not sure my manager even pays close enough attention to know that. A judge and jury sure can't tell.

My links are directly from the Bureau of Labor statistics. Looking at the earnings, men obviously make more. Even when you do take into account of education and hours.

Huh? Maybe I read this wrong but doesn't this seem hypocritical? It's like saying: "we're not discriminatory because we all have the same freedoms, I just don't want certain people to have the same freedoms as me."
