This is likely going to be a spite. Michael Bay is capable of making some fairly solid popcorn entertainment, but Nolan? He creates absolutely top-notch films. Nolan gets my vote.

Went with Bay. His movies are fun. To me that's what a movie should be and Bay has more than Nolan. A good time enjoying it and talking about your favorite parts with your friends afterwards.

Nolan. Possibly could be a spite thread.

I like Bay's originals but hate his adaptations. On the other hand, I love Nolan's work be it original or an adaptation. So yeah I pick Nolan.

Why are people saying spite? It's a matter of preference. Yeah a lot of people hate Bay today because he ruins some childhoods. But when all is said and done, it still comes down to own opinion.

Lets make this way. Which movie climax is most memorable:

The boat problem in Dark Knight or the final battles in Transformers? Does it take explosions, CGI fest and the military to make a intense and memorable ending?

Nolan stomps. Great movies forever defeat "fun" films...and in Bay's case the only "fun" one still for me was first Transformers.

Yeah, but their styles are so.... different. I mean, outside the fact that they can/have made summer blockbusters, they have nothing in common. At least I don't think so, anyway.

@Gambit1024: Yeah they are really different. But my beef is people saying it's spite like it's a battle thread with a clear winner. Not that I think Bay is better than Nolan. Cause I kinda hate Bay especially his movies as of late.

@ssejllenrad: Honestly, I don't think there's ever been a Bay movie I've enjoyed. Yet, I either like all, or are very meh towards Nolan's movies. I don't think he's ever made a really bad movie, to be honest.

Nolan is definitely the better one even though I do have to say that I find his Batman movies a bit overrated but still good.
