@turoksonofstone: I thought he was great in the movie. The movie itself is great satire on American culture. From how superficial we as people are to how we are slaves to conformity and materialism. Yet we do everything in our power to convince ourselves otherwise just so we can fit the mold. We refuse to look in the mirror and see ourselves for what we truly are. Just like Patrick Bateman.
@Osiris1428: He can't compete with Bale. He's had opportunities but he fell into the allure of type casting. He plays the same guy in most of his movies.
Ryan is more likable, I wouldn't have any interest in hanging out with Bale. Unless of course he had to make that ridiculous Batman voice the entire time so I could laugh away. Shame GL didn't have a better script though.
Depends on the role. I honestly think Ryan Reynolds made a good Green Lantern and makes a good Deadpool. Christian Bale makes a good Batman, despite barely being able to understand him unless the volume's up or you're listening intently...
Bale has a better resume, but Reynolds is better now(one funny part of GL movie felt like a dig on Bale, when Reynolds first confronts Carol with the mask on and uses the "voice")
Why do people think Bale is a douche? Because he verbally abused that sound technician? Actually, that makes him FRACKING AWESOME. Incompetent people should be yelled at more, if they're not publicly vilified, how will they realise they suck?
