If anyone can provide me something as good as Freaks and Geeks, then maybe I'd say Q.
Q is good when I just wanna jam to something, but Gambino is obviously the more talented rapper. Better flow, better rhyme scheme, and he can switch up from cheesy punch lines and hashtag rap (he referenced the Smurfs for goodness sake), to some depth in like a second. Or he can mix fun and serious together.
Honestly, anyone who can renegade Chance the Rapper on his own track deserves our respect.
After listening to Gambino's various mixtapes and his albums (poindexter and culdesac) I was really excited for Camp. But with the exception of a song or two he has consistantly disappointed me since then. Maybe the new found fame from Community went to his head or something. Anyway, Schoolboy Q is definitely heaps more hit than miss for me and I love how he embraces the older, dirtier side of hip hop almost to the point of parody (Gangsta from Oxymoron is the best example.)
