Chad Coleman as Tyreese in Walking Dead Season 3!

Chad Coleman has recently been spotted in Senoia filming Walking Dead. Apparently he has said himself that he would be playing Tyreese and will appear in the finale! Man that was a surprise! I'm only calling this legit because a lot of people who live in the area have been constantly spamming forums about this and now it's around the internet... I loved Chad Coleman in the Wire and Left 4 Dead 2, I'm certain he will pull this off.

Oh yeah, it's funny that they are FINALLY introducing him after the writers killed off T-Dog :P

They are racist IMO. They first kill the only black guy, then replace him with a black guy. So it's pretty evident that Michonne is dying.

Technically T-Dog replaced Tyreese from the comic.

You know what:

T-Dog's death was honorable and while I really wish he didn't die, you can't change what happened. But what really bugs me is that his death just felt completely overshadowed by Lori's own death as well. I know Glen paid some respect to T-Dog in the last episode but man... His character was just beginning to grow again.

@YoungJustice: ......you don't read the books do you?

#6 Posted by YoungJustice (5668 posts) - 6 months, 4 days ago - Show Bio

I do. Since when do TV shows follow the exact continuity of the book. Especially when T-Dog was an extremely popular character.

#7 Posted by Jonny_Anonymous (15630 posts) - 6 months, 4 days ago - Show Bio

@YoungJustice: So? That's the point, if you only kill unpopular characters then nobody would care. Wouldn't it be just as racist if they didn't kill him because he was black?

#8 Posted by YoungJustice (5668 posts) - 6 months, 4 days ago - Show Bio

Yes, it would have, but T-Dog wasn't popular because he was black.

That's not the case at all. He was just poorly written. Didn't have many lines, and had a TERRIBLE name. But his race has nothing to do with his popularity, just some sh*tty, ignorant writing.

I do wonder of Julie and Chris will make an apperence though. It would be interesting to see the group deal with a cripple, teenagers, little boy, and baby at the same time.

Wait who was Chad Coleman in Left 4 Dead 2? Glad to hear Tyrese is in it though, I loved his character.

What? That makes no sense.

Too true. He was ignored for the better half of the first season, then almost completely in the second, finally gained some spotlight in the third and then they killed him off. I really wished that they would reveal his real name. I always thought T-Dog was just a nickname everyone had for him.

@Deranged Midget: Yeah, as soon as they gave him like more than 4 lines in that episode, I knew they were going to kill him off.

I think he introduced himself as T-Dog, but I remember Dale would call him Theodore.

@Deranged Midget: haha the one episode in season 1 where T-Dog actually talked and kinda explained his background, I think.

lol apparently not, some people just cry racism even when it's not there lol

And how many white people have died so far? lol T-Dog lasted 3 years before dying, not 3 shows.

I look forward to new characters despite color or race.

I worded my first comment horribly. Not racist, but just, sort of..let me tell you what I'm talking about. Most in the television industry don't care about continuity or catering to dedicated comic readers. They just want views. So, when they kill T-Dog, they have to kill Lori. Why? Not because it happened in the comic, because it would be a bit...well,racist if they just went ahead and somehow made Lori survive. Thus changing the continuity, just to make the (Less popular) character (Who just happened to be white) survive. Now they go ahead and bring in another character (Better actor though) just to make up for T-Dog. They could have left him out, since T-Dog (IMO) was more interesting. Then on top of all this, T-Dog didn't even need to sacrifice himself, because we still haven't seen or heard anything about Carol.

@Arcadian: Ah right thanks, Coach is badass lol.

@YoungJustice: I get what you're saying. Not racist but its fun to joke about. I've been saying for awhile now Rick has a strict "one black person on the team at a time" policy. This new guy better hope Michonne doesnt show up at the prison anytime soon or he's a dead man ;)

This is exactly what I was trying to say.

I don't know when it was revealed in the show, but somewhere online I found out his name is Theodore Douglas. I wish they would have actually just called him that... T-Dog is a stupid name...

This would be great news, ignoring the reasons behind it, Tyreese is one of my favorite characters from the comics.

Agreed 200%

But I digress, I'm pumped Tyreese is in the show. He's one of my favorite characters in the series.
