Remember when Cartoons show were actually funny and not just an waste of time. Like What ever happen to Robot Jones? Seriously why was that show cancelled? I want the old cartoons back not the misadventures of Flapjack and his den mother of whale. Shows ED EDD and EDDY that was a classic show or the early seasons of Spongebob or the great and always funny Tom and Jerry, IDk what do you guys think about how cartoons are now? Do you like them or not.
And as far as boomerang goes, its a cool channel if you lived in the 60's. though the cartoons they show on there are good but i mean everybody gets tired of Dexter labortory every now and again.
Cartoons! Cartoons!
Stuff changes. Things that may not be funny to you may be funny to others. People may be looking back on old cartoons thinking they were bad.
Just gotta adapt. Watch the old stuff.
Me personally, I'm not a fan of most stuff on t.v. nowadays.
Clone Wars is good and the Avengers cartoon isn't to bad though I just stick to getting volumes of the classic 90's ones, as for other cartoons I just watch older ones if there on but the only thing I will go out of my way to watch on TV these days is Doctor Who.
the only show that you mentioned that seems like a classic to me is Tom and Jerry.....classics to me are shows like the original Looney Tunes, Fleischer's Superman, Flintstones, Popeye the Sailor, and Yogi Bear

Courage the cowardly dog!!!!!!!!
@danhimself said:well those shows really aren't from my era either...I'm only 29...but I don't really consider shows from my childhood to be classics either...sure I love Thundercats, G.I. Joe, and Transformers but they haven't held up nearly as well as the stuff Hanna Barbera and WB were doing back back back in the daythe only show that you mentioned that seems like a classic to me is Tom and Jerry.....classics to me are shows like the original Looney Tunes, Fleischer's Superman, Flintstones, Popeye the Sailor, and Yogi BearI think he means his era. While I do agree that the veterans of cartoon comedy like Courage the Cowardly Dog or Dexter can never be replaced, I think their are still some good cartoons left. They're just not usually as popular as the really bad ones. Take the new Avengers: EMH, The Looney Toons Show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic or that Clone Wars show that seems to be so popular. No one seems to have any solid complaints against them, and most of them even have pretty large fanbases backed up with them.
However, in comparison to the shows you or somebody else grew up watching, most of them won't get as much recondition as they could because that's not the style you've adapted to. Personally, I am disappointed with the over-all quality of cartoons that kids are going to grow up watching these days, but I am aware that their are some good ones hidden in the mix. And those are the ones I pay attention to.

I love the misadventures of flapjack... Lol O_O
That and Adventure Time are among my tops right now. Classic Thundercats, G1 Transformers, He-Man and GI Joe probably round out my top "classics" category. But I have watched waaay too many cartoons, so I have had to learn to adapt and not be too critical...
Ed, Ed and Eddy......classic?? Your making a brother feel old :(Yeah, Ed,Edd, and Eddy isn't really that classic. This is classic.

Let the nostalgia wash over you. These are the intros to my favorite two cartoons that I consider classic. Kablam and Rocko's Modern Life. If your not familiar with them please for the love of all that is good get familiar with them. Overall I agree cartoons aren't what they use to be but then again, I mean I'm a twenty something now and I'm analyzing them with a new mindset basically. It's fun to go back and watch shows you loved as a kid.
well im not saying that all the new shows are bad im just saying that base don what i have watched over the years the new cartoons shows are really not that great.
The only new cartoon series I liked were Wolverine and the X-Men, Young Justice and Avengers : Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Looks like we got some hipsters in here.....you know who you are...
And Ed, Edd, and Eddy was awesome
I wish cartoon network would be doing what Nickelodeon is doing with the 90's are all that. Which i think is cool.
