Can Goku be categorized as God?

In our world he would basically be a god, just like Superman is to the average person in DC. Not a literal god, however.

He literally has the God power of sayins.

Could Superman be worshiped as a God in our world. I'm sure some people would do so, espicially in the past where polytheism and paganism was more in vogue. If this is case, I think the same could apply for Goku too.

No. God is omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent (not that it exists); Goku is none of these.

@flashback0180: Many religions have Gods who have trouble with other entities on the regular, *Cough* Lucifer *Cough*. I find it ridiculous to consider that a supreme celestial overlord would have trouble with anything. I don't consider such concepts 'Gods' so much as divine beings. For me to worship something as a God it would have to be entirely omnipotent, otherwise it can go and f*ck itself.

By the Supreme God definition no because he's not all knowing.

By more ancient definitions yes because he can control many elements of nature.

Superman and Goku are not god in the sense that they were not born as one nor do they have divine based powers. Now you could argue he's a god because peoples worship him somewhere, somehow... But that would be a third kind of god.

God is nothing more than a title and shouldn't necessarily be used to categorize anyone's strength. What can be considered a god is pretty much up to opinion.

I don't think God would get hurt by fodder throwing rocks....or impaled by stalactite.

Not really. This implies that Superman and Goku are on equal terms; which they're not. Goku was going impaled by stalactite and penetrated by needles; Superman has taken the effects of exploding Stars---point blank range, in fact.

Haha that was for comic relief just like when:

1) King Kai hits Goku on the head in BOG and it hurts him

2) Piccolo hits SSJ1 Gotenks on the head and he has a giant lump after

3) When a character says something stupid and all the others fall over

4) Chi chi and Bulma being able to hurt Goku at all

5) Goku being scared of needles

Things like those are to get a laugh every now and then.

Superman was shipped out to Earth of a ship before his world was destroyed - a world the boasted a super advanced and powerful race of people; Goku was shipped of the Earth when his planet exploded - that also included a race of super powered race of people. Superman powers include: strength, invulnerability,super speed, flight, Goku include the same thing. I can keep going on and all, honestly.

The dude is a clear rip-off , and Goku being weaker than Superman is obvious to all unbias eyes...
