Does anyone know of a defense for bullying? Please notify me if so, as I'm in desperate need of it. This big, ol' 5'7 bully has been extorting my money, my ($250) chain, my $40 key to the gym and he stole my bike. What can I do to fend him off or something that doesn't involve snitching and getting beat up more?

No one has a solution for me?!

What Spartan said tell authority. You'll get picked on for snitching, but it's better telling than getting hurt one day. It's better doing that than getting in physical conflict. But if you ever are, just try to defend yourself any way possible.

The Spartan says:

"When it comes down to it, you just have to tell the authorities. Oftentimes, kids make the mistake of trying to handle it themselves. Handling a situation like this by yourself will do nothing except get you into deeper trouble. Tell whoever's in charge. If that bully gets a tour of Juvenile Hall, it'll straighten him up. In the end, you'll know that you did the right thing."
Hm...yeah, I'm kinda thinking of telling someone cause I'm gettin in a lotta $h!t for "losing" all my stuff. LOL.

Yeah, I guess I will tell someone. I mean, I can bench 140 for 6 reps (My body weight is 120), plus I'm in boxing, but this guy can STILL best me in all forms of physical combat. So I think it's smarter to tell someone than to slug it with this guy.

Snitching is probably the better solution. But, I wouldn't snitch. I would fight that guy.

i would provoke him to beat me up, but make sure that it's in the right place like the school's office and when the bully hits me i'll stay there not fighting back since i can call it an assault which is worse than being in a fight, that bully will get all the blame and making that bully look bad : )

I hate to say it, but these grand designs have a habit of backfiring. One of the bully's friends could say you hit him first and then....

Just tell the authorities the kid stole your stuff. If someone gives you a hard time for "snitching", just tell them that "300$ is nothing to joke around with, son. No one screws with my sh%^. If an adult had $300 worth of stuff stolen, they'd go to the cops."

Which will feel good for all of five minutes, until you get yanked into the principals office and he's asking the bully's parents of they want to press charges for assault.

Which beats trying to set the guy up in some weird trap. Trust me, I have been there, and I have done ALL this. Trying to get them in trouble, fighting back, etc. Hollywood loves to make great fairy tales of turning the tables, but unless you become a kung fu master over the summer, it almost never works in real life. At least I haven't heard of any such plan working, especially when the bullies are at the point they have already turned into felons. And that is what the original poster is dealing with: criminals.

If it was still just in the bullying stage, verbal intimidation and a little bit of pushing around, than yea, maybe standing up them will work because they maybe big chickens. But once they get to full out physical assault? And the bully described in the original post has gone beyond even that.

Honestly, the only thing that stopped the bullying I went through in my miniscule hometown was moving across the country to a huge school in which no one knew me and no one cared. But school administrators and teachers take bullying a lot more seriously now then they did when I was growing up (Thank you Columbine), so I think talking to them would be an option that actually has a chance of working. Especially if the OP highlights the theft with pictures of him/herself wearing the chain and with the bike that has "gone missing".

And if that doesn't work, with theft involved, the Vishanti can go to the cops.

The problem, from my experience, is that there is no right way to deal with it. I was bullied (on and off) most of my school life. Sometimes "flipping out like a ninja" worked, one guy I threw into some bushes and started wailing on him, we both ended up in the headmaster's office and were friends after that. Other times it just made it worse. Same with "snitching", sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I had one experience where I told my head of year anonymously about this guy (who was much to big and armed to fight). He ended up in detention, but knew that some of the incidents he was accused of happened in drama. He fed some line about wanting to talk it through to the drama teacher and I had a very uncomfortable lesson with her asking who it was. If I was who I am today, I would have had her job, but then I just wanted it all to go away.

The one definite piece of hope I can give you is this: once you leave school all that crap goes away. I've not seen a single one of them since I left and I don't care too.

I can agree on this. I used to get bullied and ridiculed back in middle school. Used to get into a lot of fights because it. But, once I moved away to Georgia, it all went away... But, the ridicule doesn't end for everyone. I know a guy in college, that hangs around people that don't even like him. People talk trash about him when he's around (They somewhat do it indirectly) and when he's not around. Problem is, he doesn't realize that these people don't like him. And, as a grown man, he should know who and who not to hang out with. So, it's sorta of his fault...

Don't ever punk out, for no one. It doesn't matter if they are bigger, older, whatever. Once you b!tch out you always be considered weak. Hit him dead in his jaw as hard as you can, bite, gouge, rip at his nuts, do whatever you have to to make him remember you ain't no freakin punk.

I'll bet he'll never mess with you again bro.

Tell him about himself ie word fight, take the beating, then show somebody with authority your cuts and scrapes, let them deal with it, and then get all you stuff back.

How to fight with words. The bully is probably not as smart as you are so use big words to confuse, then pick out a personal defect of his and use it against him. Make sure you have witnesses for his humiliation, and if he starts to hit defend yourself so that you have people to say he hit you first.

In the end you will kind of feel like a bully yourself but you will get over it TRUST ME, and that person will most likely not want a verbal A$$ whoopin' again. And you will be prepared for future bullies. I

If this does not work then tell someone-- soo serious about what is written above. Even though I have never had a bully, It still works.

#35 Posted by Jax (7542 posts) - 4 years, 11 months ago - Show Bio

All I can say is BEAT HIS @$$. Don't fight with honor fight dirty. Poke him in the eyes, low blow him in the nuts, when he's on the ground stomp him out then say "there's nothing under there you piece of crap" then continue stomping him out and throw him in the trash can and then run so noone can prove you did it. If not that...

Take a stick and repeat steps only with more wood around. If not that....

Make him go to sleep by using his pressure points (or something like that) and take his clothes and everything.

Frighten the bully...I would recommend you do it at night...and wear a costume. Make him feel the fear of others. Take your things back and tell him to leave Gotham.....I mean, tell him to leave town.

5'7, That's kind of short. Though that's coming from someone a foot taller than that. Personally, bullies avoided me like the plague due to the fact that I was physically taller and larger than them.

Always bring some form of easily hidden protective gear to fights. That's why I always win. Sure it's dishonorable but so was the Gun to knights and Samurai, and they both died for it.

I don't bring guns to a fight, and nobody else should have to. It's cowardly. It's as if no one knows how to fight nowadays. Dudes would rather shoot than to fight, as if it makes them more a man or something. People must really hate to take a beating. Must be a price thing or something, which is really stupid. It's not worth killing someone. I know a lot of guys that are willing to throw their life away to shoot someone all because they lost a fight. Big deal. N!ggas need to grow up these days.

I'm a Aryan, the farthest thing possible from a black guy. Other than a albino. And armor is not a gun. What it is is not letting someone 7/8ths your size have a shot at winning. Anything that challenges you, deserves punishment.
