So obviously in the new 52 it began 5 years after the start of all the super hero activity in the world. Batman returned to gotham when he was 25. Hes 30. Its been a couple years in the new 52 already. You can tell from jokers disappearance for a year, then his other disappearance after death of the family.
7 years is not enough I feel like.
If Dicks Parents died when he was 11 then there has to be at least 10 years of history.
Jason Todd is almost if not full grown in the new 52

The new 52 has some serious continuity and time issues. Not exactly sure why the new 52 happened other than that the DCU was a mess before it. How do you squeeze 75 years of comics into 5?
What is Bruce Waynes future in comics, when there is a 42 year old actor playing him?
In the Batman v. Superman, Batman comes out of retirement to fight supes. Or at least its recognized hes a seasoned crim fighter.
With no future Batman films scheduled within the next 5-10 years. It can be assumed that Affleck wont hold the role too long. Perhaps long enough to found the JL.
Batmans death then return is one of the messy examples of pre new 52 DCU. Batmans "death" and bruce waynes retirement and james Gordon taking the role in the new robobatsuit in the comics can mean nothing more than Bruce might be getting to old. Even in the Arkham Knight its recognized Bruce is getting up there. His "death" at the end makes you wonder if he truly does come back as batman.
Could Bruces welcome be worn out? There is a similar paradigm with Spiderman where people are beggining to favor miles over peter. Could this happen with batman beyond, or even dick. Fans became comfortable with him as bats after Bruces silly death in the comics.
What is Bruces age? Where is his future in comics?
