Bruce Lee vs. André the Giant

Height: Around 5'7"

Weight: Fluctuated, but for this fight, about 140lbs.

Occupation: BAMF

vs.

Height: Somewhere around 7'0".

Weight: Around 500lbs.

Occupation: Really big BAMF.

Battle takes place in a dojo the size of Rhode Island. Scattered all over are various weapons, but only ones made of wood (staffs, clubs, tonfa, bokken, etc.)

I pick bruce but it could go either way.

Bruce Lee would kill him.

Andre is just too big

Size doesn't matter there are ways of taking out people who are bigger than you especially with weapons around.

we all know Bruce is AMAZING but come on guys Andre is not some big idiot who can't fight

He is BIG and can fight.

I honestly don't believe this could go either way, Bruce would destroy Andre. Bruce Lee was a master of kung-fu and in world class physical shape. I don't see Andre even landing a blow.

Bruce Lee wins but it would go either way if there weren't weapons involved. With wooden staffs and such Bruce could still injure Andre's hands, head, and lower legs. All of the parts are vulnerable to physically fit man who is proficient in weapons like Bruce Lee so yea, Bruce would take this.

I still say Bruce wins, he has the better training..and the second feat is the only one that matters.

I specifically researched his stats online, sources varied wildly, as did his actual weight (just look at the difference between EtD and RotD), so I left it mostly vague.

Bruce lee was one of the best martial artist in the world. he would destroy him.

It deserves props sure, but not in a fight.

People underestimate size. Andre wasn't just BIG. He was over 3 times Bruce's max weight. His head probably outweighed Bruce's entire torso. The vast majority of Bruce's light attacks will not harm him, and a single glancing blow from Andre will be devastating. Now, I'm not saying Andre wins -- I'm not sure, that's why I made the battle. But you shouldn't ignore him just because he's "just a big guy". He's THE big guy.

Bruce would win, but Andre can take a punch. That guy was huge with large bones and muscles, but his main problem was his speed. Bruce has the advantage of being able to move faster and pick his shots, probably going for some pressure points or other vulnerable areas.

Andre has no formal training against one of the best martial artists.

The fight against Hogan was rigged so that they could pass the torch onto Hogan. If it had been a real fight Andre would have killed Hogan.

Dude. In a staged wrestling match. Hogan would never beat Andre the Giant -- he's shown what he can do to professional wrestlers in real world situations (murder them).

Neither do grizzly bears, but I bet Bruce Lee would have a decent challenge against one.

I must say that I am biased to my fellow country men. I think Bruce would lose Andre is not just a 7 footer he is immensely strong and had extremely thick bones.

Yeah. Against a normal fighter Bruce's size, if Andre grabbed him he'd be dead in seconds. But with Bruce's speed and brutality I'd say he has a good chance to get out if he got grabbed. But, that's not to say that Andre would not stand a chance in such a case. If he's not holding back then he could do some serious damage to Bruce if he laid hands on him.

dude andre had strength that pushed the limits of the human body. Also everyone says Andre is some hulking mammoth that is super slow. He isn't the dude played soccer (not as a goalie mind you). His trainers stand firm that if Andre got his hands on someone he could literally tear there arms off. One time he got in a bar brawl and the people who insulted Andre ran away into there car and Andre flipped it easily

Bruce wins easily. He would strike him in the balls multiple times until Andre went down. Then target the throat/eyes

I'm sure a man of Bruce Lee's position would have know pressure points and nerve endings which would've allowed him to strike Andre in the right places to put him down. Regardless, he's far too fast and agile for Andre to land a hit on him.

Not necessarily... as stated before, he could dodge and strike rapidly at its nose/eyes, disorienting and agonizing it as he slowly beat its brains in. He COULD. Or he could get his head slapped off. Point is, it isn't clear-cut just because the opponent doesn't have formal training.

bruce lee will win, size is a massive advantage up to a point but andre had problems because of his, he would be really slow and would probably get tired fast.

the thing is that i doubt andre can even get a hold of bruce, and even if he did bruce can get out since martial artists knows how to get out of holds and counter back and bruce is very flexible, or he could just hit andre in his groin, which would be a ko, if not then bruce can just unleash a barrage of punches and kicks to finish him off

Everyone is overlooking Bruce's arm length. Everytime he goes for a punch he is close enough for Andre to get him Andre was by no means slow but this fight depends on if Andre was in his prime or not. Because his disease would not allow him to get into prolonged fights.

Andre wasn't slow he was rather fast he would eventually catch Bruce before Andre becomes to tired out.
