I do not know much about fighting and martial arts, but based on what Bruce Lee said (If he did really said it), it is believed that depth is more important.

Depends on where you go to, and what role you play, breadth can be important.

True, but someone who knows 10,000 moves is sure gonna be knowledgeable in martial arts, even if he can't actually do them well.
