Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

Was a parody. So all the jokes were intentional.

This is true; but it doesnt take away from the enjoyment. Intentional, or not, it was a bad movie. Just like many of Bruce Campbell's films; they were meant to be cheesey and over-the top.

Eh, I don't consider it a bad film but it has been a while since I watched it.

When i say bad, i dont mean unwatchable. It was a well made parody; I love Killer Tomatoes and all parody horror films. I should be more clear...sorry.

@decoyelite: LOL, Totally! I love the part when they stab the straws into the hanging bags of people and drink them dry. Had me rolling; i think i was 5 when i first saw it.

And dont forget the movie..."Dr. Giggles" (1992). Just one of the cheesiest/greatest slasher movies of all time. So bad, and so good for it.

Below, I've answered with my previous response to this rebuke. Remember, I love this movie, but it was awesomely terrible.

Excalibur (1981)

Not a bad movie at all and certainly doesn't belong here.

Its "BEST" worst movies; meaning, the ones you love to watch. And, i do apologise, but if you believe this to be a well made movie...your faith in Nigel Terry is a bit far fetched. He is one of the worst actors of the 20th century. I do love that movie, though.

*EDIT*

Also, just because Liam Neeson and Patrick Stewart are in it, doesnt mean it was amazing. It was meant to be an epic tale of Arthurian Legend. But, it absolutely fell short. Nicol Williamson (Merlin) and Nigel Terry (Arthur) were the focus of the story, and they were completely ubsurd (part of its charm; I'll admit); and i wont even get into Gabriel Byrne's or Cherie Lunghi's role. Helen Mirren was pretty good though (and gorgeous), if not a bit over-eccentric in her performance. "O' Fortuna" made for a great score, however.

Again, i really enjoy this movie. But, i really enjoy pretty very absolutely painlfully terrible movies.

Granted it's been a while since I've seen it, so I'd be willing to change my opinion if I watch the movie again. It's possible that I'm remembering it through rose-colored glasses.

In any case, you're right there's a certain amount of cheesiness to Nigel Terry's performance, I dont deny that. Same with Nicol Williamson. But that alone doesnt a bad movie make. Certainly compared to other fantasy films of the time (and even after) I think it still holds up. Compare to the truly dreadful First Knight (1995), if you want to really talk about a bad Arthurian story movie.

I wasnt even thinking of Liam Neeson or Patrick Stewart since they had (IIRC) pretty small roles. The main thing I remember from Excalibur is Nicol Williamson's Merlin. Cheesy, but fun to watch.

@willpayton: it was a combination of cheddar cheese dialogue, insanely poor fight choreography and illogical plot transitions that made the movie what it was (imo). I do concede to the fact that Nicol Williamson, while an absolutely looney Merlin, was the main entertainment in the film. But, Nigel Terry was just sooo bad, lol. Watch the scenes where he gains Excalibur, and then begins his training to wield it. Its grotesquely funny how Merlin is astonished of his skill, and all Arthur is doing is flailing around like a 10 year old with toys from Medieval Times...the themed restaraunt. In fact, I encourage you to watch it again, amd enjoy its cheesy sentiment.

And...i don't want to talk about First Knight. Richard Greere (or however its spelled) is the worst lancellot ever. Not even Sean Connery could save the movie.

Batman and Robin, I would put Batman Forever, but it's a bit more competent even though the Riddler was more cringe worthy the Mr.Freeze.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

I honestly thought it would suck because the very name of the movie screams "bad movie" so I just watched to have a good laugh at a bad movie, but oh man was I wrong.

I've never really been into the whole "it's so bad, it's good" shtick, especially now with people doing it intentionally.

Sharknado's 1-3 are pretty great. Batman and Robin is fun too if you just embrace the camp.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves

The accents (or lack thereof) alone qualify this one.
