Best time period for FPS games?

Not really. We haven't gotten a decent WW2 game Battlefield 1943, and that was in 2009. Same could be said for the Vietnam era.

Yeah I agree with that also, but if we were to take games that were of the same quality and played the same, which era would you want to play in?

I'd like to see more shooting games in the Vietnam era.

@petey_is_spidey: It doesn't matter, there is a reason WW2 and Vietnam games were replaced with modern warfare, it was because people were tired of them hence being played out. WW2 games still get released today hell there are WW1 games.

I like a variety of time periods, not just one.

WW2 & Near Future.

Modern Era

Never. First-person shooters can go to hell. In all fairness, though, I will say I enjoy the occasional GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark.
