Ok, question.
Can kanye go pound for pound with nas?
Not swag lol.But like His whole charisma,his lines hit with me more than nas ever did.He always sounded better sonically to me
Lol. I was going come in here and say Illmatic..
But I'll go with Eric B. & Rakim Paid in Full or Public Enemy It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back.
@utotheg38: I thought you meant swag as in like the way he dresses.. thats how people always use that word so i figured thats what you meant.And No.Im not saying he could just say anything and id like it because the way he says it.Im saying that the lyrics he wrote,and the presentation of these lyrics as a whole is better than Nas's.Nas may be able to write better metaphors and fit more multi-syllable words into a verse,but that really doesn't mean anything to me if all of it sounds dull on record.Which to me, Nas always did.He sounded dull

lol I was asking, I truly don't know what swagg Is. 90's kid so I've never used that word before.
And as for the other part. Fair enough. XD
@_slim_: I feel so bad as a hip hop fan to have never heard Paid In Full...I can never find any download links on the internet anywhere
1) good kid m.A.A.d City
2) TheBlueprint
3) My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
4) Illmatic
5) Lifestyle ov da Poor & Dangerous
@wolverine08@laflux Thoughts?
The Based Print 2 trumps all!
@wolverine08@laflux Thoughts?
Only just saw this.
Illmatic and GKMC are probably my top two IMO
Slightly below that is stuff like College Dropout, Bastard, Blueprint 3, XXX, Section 80, Recovery, Marshall Mathers LP.
Below that is stuff like I'm Gay, Wolf, Doris, Teflon Don, Attention Deficit, Thank me Later...
....
This is just including straight albums. If we include mixtapes than Odd Future Mixtape, Young Sinatra, 1999, Overly Dedicated would make the list too.
The Based Print 2 trumps all!
Funnily enough I think as a legimate album I'm Gay is really good. Clams Casino is so underratted as a producer its not funny.
Edit- Didn't know Logic was so popular. Good, the guy seems really nice and has a good drive. Charlamagne was giving a bit of stick, but he handled it well :)
- Eminem Show.
- My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
- Good kid Mad city.
- 36 Chambers.
- Food & Liquor 2.
I made this list 5 days ago. Still agree with it for the most part.
WOW is this a subjective question. I'm in no position to say what is the GOAT album, but my personal top 5 go as....
"Illmatic" - NAS
"Midnight Marauders" - A Tribe Called Quest
"The Marshall Mathers LP" - Eminem
"Follow the Leader" - Eric B & Rakim
"Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" - Outkast
...I could go on, but these are the top 5 off the top of my head.
