Best and Worst Film From Every Year Since My Birth in 1997

I got this idea from this guy who liked to do Top 10 Lists of Movies from every year of the decade. Plus, I just wanted to show you my opinion like the snob I am. ;-)

WORST: The Devil Inside/The Hunger Games

Jennifer Lawrence's worst movie of 2012 was EASILY House at the End of the Street...like it owns the Hunger Games in terrible.

If I wanted to see Max Thierot as a borderline psycho, I'd watch My Soul To Take (Which while not great, was still a good slasher) I didn't even watch that film it looked so bad.

I loved Scooby Doo, mainly because of Sarah Michelle Gellar...

Drive was cool it's not best movie material but it was cool

For 2003: Kangaroo Jack sucks, but it's not worse than Hulk.

I thought Hulk was awesome. Yes, it was different from the source material, but so was Dark Knight Rises and that was great. I really felt they captured Banner's struggle to control the Hulk and his plight a lot better than any other Hulk I've seen. Nick Nolte was also an awesome villain, and the relationship between him and Bana was REALLY fun to watch. That scene at the end where Bruce and David are arguing violently was done TOO well IMO.

Meh, I could see the appeal I guess. John Goodman was pretty good. I just hated it personally, but if you like it, there's nothing wrong with that.

Baby Geniuses: Completely nonsensical, not at all funny, terrible premise and an obvious money grab. No interesting characters or ideas. The cinematography is even worse than Battlefield Earth.

Jimmy Neutron: Even more nonsensical than Baby Geniuses. When I was a kid, it pissed me off that the kids could fly into space without helmets on and defy basic laws of science. Looking at it know, I'm disgusted with how little respect it showed for the audiences intelligence. Bland message, terribly animated and shockingly little effort.

Kangaroo Jack: Lewis was an incredibly racist character, and not even close to being funny. Even the name is a lie, as Kangaroo Jack is only in the film for about 5 minutes.

Like Mike: When a studio decides to make a movie about a kid who has super powers, they are saying "We're desperate!" That goes double for when they have sports related powers. Doubled again when they are orphans. And doubled again when you cast Little Bow Wow and Jonathan Lipnicki. So this is 8x Desperation

Sky High: A dumbed down X-Men for kids. I hated all of the characters except for Will (Who is still bland but in a charming way) and Warren Peace. Many of the story ideas are flat out mind numbingly stupid/audience insulting, there are more plot holes than all 3 Transformers movies, the story is predictable and eye-rollingly lame.

There, I explained why I hate those movies. :)

@spideyivydaredevilfan26: okay I've only seen baby genius once when I was 9, but I enjoyed it. hated the sequel though. I love jimmy neutron. He actually has a scientific answer for breathing in space, when jimmy is telling sheen about it, Carl starts screaming and you can't here what jimmy is saying. Kangaroo Jack is hilarious. I watched like mike a couple times and I remember liking it. I like sky high, but that doesn't mean its not lame. And yes will and warren are the only cool people.

@allstarsuperman: Dude Sky High was horrible. I remember going to the movies to see it when I was younger and regretting the 10 bucks I spent on it afterwards.

2005 should be Son of the Mask for worst.... I mean come on

Still, everything gets opinions. I'd have to put some time into my own list sometime :/

Yes, the best movie of 2012 IMO. Obviously, Waltz had the best performance, but I actually thought Samuel L. Jackson's performance was underrated as hell. Seriously, he did an awesome job, why wasn't there more talk about him? 0_0

I loved Dark City.

One of the best Sci-Fi films ever made. THIS was the film that The Matrix should've been. And Kiefer delivered one of the best performances I've ever seen in a Science Fiction movie. Truly an underrated classic, like many films here. :)

my borderline stalking love of Jennifer Lawrence must be blinding me because I enjoyed both Hunger Games and The House at the End of the Street

@allstarsuperman: They're motion enabled seats that correspond with motion and action in the film. I find it pretty gimmicky but I have to admit seeing pacific rim in Dbox is a fun experience, feeling the seats jerk as the jaegers got hit was pretty cool.

I love Jennifer Lawrence as well, I just hated those movies. She's too good for that crap. P.S, edited my list a little.

Ha, I love seeing Step Brothers at the best of 2008. I'm not sure if should be awarded as movie of the year, but it sure was freaking hilarious. Nice picks!

Drive was fantastic. The cinematography, soundtrack, and acting were top notch. The biggest problem I see most people having with the movie is that Gosling has very little dialogue.

what is worst quality with armageddon? especially in the same year that you said titanic was the best?

Alot of your worsts are actually really good movies. One or two coincidences or difference of taste I can understand, but with this amount I can only conclude that you are a hipster. They cant all possibly be the absolutely worst in their respective years.
