A creative, cheery song where Sebastian utilized the wonders and talents of various sea creatures for a musical performance. Sadly, it wasn’t good enough to keep Ariel stay put till the finish.
14. You’ve Got a Friend in Me
The only Disney-Pixar song, not only is it the opening to Toy Story, but it is also Woody’s theme and generalizes the movie and Toy Story saga best.
13. I Won’t Say I’m in Love
The Turnaround song for Meg, where she switches her belief in love from your level of belief in the tooth fairy to Darth Vader’s faith in the force. It also gives her more of a background rather than just being a run of the mill damsel in distress.
12. Reflection
Mulan sings about how she doesn’t see herself when she looks at her own reflection. It’s deep!
11. I Just Can’t Wait to be King
Cool lyrics and artistic vision for the use of the diverse number of animals that inhabit . The vertical circus like image at the climax of the song is quite a sight!
10. Savages
Song that speaks about real world issues such as discrimination, superiority, greed while staying in the realm of a Disney musical. The song also heightens tension as it progresses.
9. Two Worlds
The opening song to Tarzan. It sets the stage in grand fashion.
8. Hellfire
The melodramatic tone really intrigued me about this one. This song defines Frollo and why he’s one of the best Disney villains (a list for later but you’re more than welcome to start one!)
7. Just Around the River
Pocahontas has the best singing voice. Really, I can put all of her songs on this list *hint hint*
6. One Last Hope
Phil is an under-rated support character; he’s funny and interesting which is exactly how I would define this song.
5. Strangers Like Me
Turnover song for Tarzan, where he discovers more about himself.
4. Friend Like Me
Chosen mostly for the associating visuals to the songs, Genie is a show stealer!
3. Girl Worth Fighting For
The funniest Disney song.
2. Colors of the Wind
The only character to get two songs in her name, Pocahontas’ pacifist nature is highlighted through this song.

The best song, listen to it whenever you need any kind of motivation!
