Ben Afleck directing the JLA movie?

I read the article on Comic Vine about this and just wanted to go a little further with it and see everyone's thoughts on what I have to say and hear everyone else's thoughts on this topic and what they have to say. I don't think Afleck would be a bad pick to direct this movie. Sure this will be pushing his directing skills to the limit and a lot of pressure is on him, but I think he can handle himself. It would be a good comeback for him as well. In the article it said that he only directs movies that he will star in, so what Character do you think he would do? I honestly have no idea who he would play. Also, in the article, he said he regrets doing Daredevil. Why do you think he regrets it? I thought he played a great Matt Murdock. Lemme know what you guys think on the questions I asked and what you think about Ben Afleck directing the JLA movie!

On topic, Ben Affleck can decently be trusted behind the scenes, I mean it was the combined effort of him and Matt Damon that made Good Will Hunting. So I'll give him a shot, but I'm not sure how well this could go.

Ben Afleck is an awesome director. He'd be a great choice. Just because hes a crummy actor, doesnt mean anything.

Ben Afleck is a very good director. It's his acting that everyone bashes.

Ben Affleck is indeed a pretty good director. The Town was a great movie.... Though he wouldn't be my choice, I don't think he will screw it up.

Ummm... The Avengers wasn't really set that high as far as good story telling and character development. It relied heavily on it's previous films and was too humorous for my taste.

Severely disagree. I thought it had great character development with a simple action filled plot. It didn't need to have to much development seeing as every character was in their own previous movies. I loved the humor, the action, the pacing, and the team. I think it's one of the best Super Hero movies of all time

I won't disagree that The Avengers wasn't action filled or wasn't even the BEST superhero movie of all time, but as a stand alone film it fell flat on it's face and for that it's not even a mediocre film. It's a GREAT popcorn flick and that's about it.

Replace every superhero in that film with a made up one and you have yourself the worse superhero film of all time.

I would also like to point out that The Dark Knight Rises failed in my eyes for these exact reasons.
