The tag-line ''Up For Whatever'' on a brand of Beer, Buzz-Light has led to outrage on social media that it promotes a ''rape culture'' and is inconsiderate of sexual abuse victims who say ''no means no''.

Perhaps this is legit, or just another politician trying to get the attention of youth. Congress Woman and senior Democrat Nita Lowey also expressed dissatisfaction at the tag-line.

That doesn't promote rape at all. Some feminists way too sensitive. I guess people in general are nowadays, it is always something. I remember a story about people going insane because Eva Mendes said something bad about sweatpants.

Well I found the label pretty questionable. Let's be honest, the lines: "The perfect beer for removing "No" from you vocabulary for the night" and "The perfect beer for whatever happens" were not very well thought out. Putting them on a beer bottle is weird. I can see why some people would think that it brings a rapey vibe. It's not just that, even things like peer pressure or drunk driving can be related. It's not really that much of a stretch.

I thought it was a sick joke at first and I laughed. Like something you'd see on Family Guy. Also, kinda like Anchorman when Ron said "oh Veronica told me a very funny joke today" except with a beer bottle.

They should take that "Yes Man" film off the shelves as well while they're at it.

And let's not even mention the strikingly phallic shape of beer bottles. If you really wanted equality you'd drink your beverages from a container that doesn't conform to body types, doesn't conform to a gender binary and is multi-colored and multicultural, you disgusting white male cisgender rapists.

Why would you jump to rape first though, instead of just having a nice night out with some friends?

Kind of weird, but people overreacted.

The people who have a problem with it do have a point though.

@scouterv: I don't know. I guess it's because I saw that people related it to rape. Or maybe I've been conditioned to think of rape immediately through repeated exposure. Or this really was legitimate and a questionable action from Bud Light. I'm really not sure, but I think it's all three combined.

Again when I think about it, it's not really unreasonable. I mean beer bottles have the line "Drink Responsibly" on there and you always hear that on commercials and stuff. Bud Light puts those two lines next to it and it seems like a joke to me. They're complete opposites. Like I said, I also thought drunk driving and peer pressure could also be thought of and related to, not just rape. Anyways, I can see why people got upset. Marketing and design at Bud Light should've been more cautious and wise. I don't really care if they removed it or apologized because I don't drink and I found it funny at first.
