Aurora shooting conspiracies, TDKR conspiracies

This morning, I've been reading some interesting things on the net. Specifically, conspiracies stating that The Dark Knight Rises is a metaphor for what could easily happen very soon in America, and conspiracies surrounding the father of James Holmes (and James himself), the Aurora shooting criminal.

James Holmes is thought to have been staged by the government as an agent to kill or injure people in the theater, because of a UN small-arms talk that would take place a week after the shooting. The US government could, theoretically, have used that as an argument to try to disarm the populace, and thus have more power. There's a little bit of circumstancial evidence to support this claim, such as:

  • James Holmes looking rather drugged during his court appearance, reportedly (if he was brainwashed, people say, he could have been drugged to keep from finding out what's going on. I offer no opinion here)
  • James Holmes warned police that his apartment was rigged with explosives. Why warn them? Wouldn't he rather have them destroy any evidence, and themselves, by triggering the traps, thus furthering his goal of exterminating lives pointlessly? It is, slightly, inconsistent. He could have been simply emotionally unstable, which is very likely, but some would say he was trying to warn them to save them, because he was planted as the criminal, he was "brainwashed" or drugged, or some such thing. I offer, again, no opinion on this.
  • How did he gain roughly $20,000 in weapons and protective equipment, not even counting the explosives his apartment was apparently rigged with, if he was an unemployed medical student, and use it all relatively off-the-grid? It's been reported he used student loans and grants to purchase his arms, but some say it was an attempt to arm this "agent of chaos" to perform the shooting so that the government could have an excuse to disarm the populace. I offer no opinion one way or the other.
  • Why would he do these things in the first place? What motive would he have to do it by himself? People use this as another piece of "evidence" to support the claim that the government is actually responsible for this shooting.

As well, in regards to James Holmes' father, he is/was a lead scientist in an organization called Fair Isaac. He is heavily involved in credit card and banking frauds and money tracking, and is exceptional at mathematics. He has helped design a piece of software that could theoretically trace most large transactions between governments, organizations, businesses and people, to prevent scams and fraud. It could be used for other purposes, supposedly, however. I've read that his work, and the others that worked with him, might be used to help start a situation like in TDKR, where you could effectively trace anyone's money, and then try to steal it from them digitally. I offer no opinion on this belief.

People are using all these things to say there's some sort of government conspiracy here, but I'm wondering what you guys think. Worse conspiracies have happened, in the past, but most people nowadays have a hard time believing their government is capable of such things. I, too, have trouble with conspiracies, but it's not impossible for some of them to be true.

What are your thoughts?

The idea of a conspiracy was stupid when it happened, and it's still stupid now.

I've also read that certain witnesses thought there were multiple shooters, some of them were completely calm after the event, and some said they felt the bullet casings falling on them but they didn't do anything. Some folks aren't sure what to make of that. What do you think of those pieces of info?

Are you f***ing kidding me? Real people died because of a real man, do we really need halfcocked internet conspiracy BS? Its insulting to the victims. Making excuses for a crime because the internet tells you to distrust the government.....get real. My thoughts? This is stupid. Really stupid.

@minigunman123: Didn't read them. Don't need to. Conspiracy theories are generally stupid overall. Applying it to something like this is even worse. People got hurt, people died. An insane scumbag did it. I don't need some half-cocked conspiracy theory to help me see that.

How is being curious about what really happened, since I'm not even 17 and not too sure about the world given my lack of experience with it, an insult to the victims? Wouldn't it be insulting not to be curious who was really at fault? I think you're getting angry for no reason, I didn't even say I agreed with any of this.

I'm angry at the conspiracy itself. Turning every incident into government bashing, NWO, facist state propaganda is ridiculous.

EDIT:I'd used the R-word to describe conspiracy theorists, but that'd be an insult to honest mentally challenged people

There is no conspiracy and for people even to suggest it shows how far the intelligence of the human race has fallen. I can answer everyone of those questions posted with one answer: "Because he was a f***ing psychopath!"

As James Gordon said, "you're not allowed to believe in coincidences anymore" ;)

But yeah, I honestly think this is ridiculous, I just wondered what others thought. I'm surprised that the responses have all been rather angered at the notion of any such conspiracy.

This isnt even the most entertaining of the Aurora conspiracies. Look up Lil Wayne/Dark Knight Rises on Youtube if you're into conspiracies.
