Attack On Titan

Screw it; I'm making an official Attack On Titan thread.

Here is the place to talk about all things Attack On Titan, though be careful when dealing with spoilers; no one likes someone who spoils things, and accidents are more likely to happen to them for some strange reason. So far 9 episodes are out. A lot more of the manga is out. Some games and even a live action movie are planned. What make you of this epic new series?

It being new would explain why I've never heard of it...

Attack On Titan is awesome.

If only there were a way for me to legally watch this in the states (I won't pirate). :(

Just read attack on titan 46 and this manga is starting to overdo it on the plot it's starting to become hard too follow.

I wonder how many episodes the anime will have? I hope it gets more than the usual 26.

It should have more than one season, even if it does mean having to wait another 25-6 weeks for each episode. I guess it depends on how much money they earn.

@kingofash: Yeah ,but the series is doing the same thing NGE did ,build up so many questions and yet don't answer any of them and the art was always kinda bad.

@thatguywithheadphones: Hope they don't stray too far down that path. We all know what happened last time... Having read the first volume of the manga, I can say that the art...isn't really the best I've seen. Overall I prefer the anime over the manga, despite only having read one volume.

Oh you haven't heard.

Well this guy who worked with the writing was recently fired and some people say it's for release information that basically spoils the ENTIRE mystery element of the series.

It really has divided the fandom some believe and some don't, I've readied it my self and it looks like it would really fill into the story.

It's going to happen eventually. Eren in his Titan form vs The Colossal Titan.

Eren is an actual likable protagonist :D

Manga story is starting to drag on and for some weird reason the Mangaka is trying to make 2 mass murders sympathetic...It NOT GONNA WORK

Yeah I guess but still they're is no way to make THOSE guys sympathetic without it being a terrible writing decision also it feels like the Mangaka is trying to make Eren the douche in this for not being able to control himself.

It's a revenge story that had a twist or lost it's way, you be the judge.

Well, what to say? Quite a bit actually.

Official Attack On Titan game for home consoles confirmed for 2014. Hope its on 360. Theres also a fan made Attack On Titan game that you should check out. Hope no one minds if I post a link to it...

I also couldn't help but to read some of the manga, up to Volume 5. The first four volumes cover everything that's happened so far, the latest episode set in the court is from volume 5. Let me just say that I'm glad the Battle of Trost is over. The first eight episodes were perfect. Episodes 9 to 12 were alright, but they dragged out with too much talking. Episode 13 picked things a bit by ending the Trost saga, episode 13.5 was just a compilation episode and episode 14 was some more talk. They were still good but the first 8 episodes felt so different and special. But now the action will truly pick up again, and I don't want to spoil anything like one of those many idiots on Youtube, but there will be another smart Titan soon...

Also new opening and closing for the series.

This episode 9.5/10 IMO

but I will say that it really over did it with the beating scene.

I just started watching the show. I'm on episode six, and so far it's amazing. Everything about it is doing well in my eyes, and I'm digging the art even if those Titans gives me the creeps.

Haven't seen the show for the last two weeks. Just saw episode 15. It's a good episode of character development.

Mediocre show at best, Don't know why its hyped up so much it explodes universes. 7/10 would watch till the end but until it actually gets interesting I'd give it a higher mark. The Eren turning into the Titan thing was spoilt into oblivion, but it was pretty obvious.

The show's been great so far. Can't see how I could rate it anything less than a 8.5 overall. The manga sure is getting good.

I'm current with the Manga and it's atrocious.

The anime itself is quite good animation and soundtrack wise ignoring the lackluster characters, weak plot and such.

Attack On Titan 3DS game has been confirmed. Will it be released outside Japan though?
