Boredom caused me to do this.
Ask away.
@CaioTrubat:
I like both Marvel and DC, but I've read more from DC. I like their characters more for whatever reason.
Not sure. There are so many games that I have played. The one I had the most fun playing? Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Restoration of Erathia
I'm not to big on memes.
Google back in like 2009.
@CaioTrubat: The Dark Knight Rises. The Avengers is a close second though.
I expect that to be changed though. The Hobbit will mostly likely be #1 for me.
@CaioTrubat: I don't mind it. It just gives them the chance to put more glorious details from the books in the movie. They run the chances of making it dragged out, but I trust Jackson.
In terms of movies LOTR > SW.
@CaioTrubat: Batman and the Outsiders it was the first issue of this series, which lead to my love of all of the characters.
@k4tzm4n: In some ways yes. He got the action and look down, but he didn't really have the personality of Clint. There was no banter, no hitting on women constantly, etc. The way I see past this is that they were trying for Ultimate Hawkeye.
@CrimsonCake: I haven't read that story, but I have heard mixed opinions. I think they could do it if they do it right.
@Strafe Prower: Do you have a favorite series in the new 52?
@Jake Fury: To be honest, I haven't read any of them. I'm avoiding it as long as possible. Eventually, I'll read Birds of Prey, Suicide Squad, and Catwoman. I will be picking up DC Universe Presents when #13 comes around. Black Lightning :)
@TERMINATORXX: A comic character? Black Lightning by far. He is the only character that I have bought comics online for.
@CaioTrubat: Guilliver's Travels starring Jack Black. During the whole movie I considered suicide just so I didn't have to continue watching it. It was awful in every way.
@CaioTrubat: My name came from an RPG character I created on a Sonic The Hedgehog forum.
Prower is is Tails' last name, Miles "Tails" Prower.
Strafe was random because it sounded cool.
@CaioTrubat: Not yet, but I want to play Star Wars: The Old Republic. I've also heard great things about the Mass Effect series.
@CaioTrubat: Nah, I've been out of the gaming scene for a little while, so I haven't heard anything about it in particular. was it bad?
@Strafe Prower: Boy you missed such a s***storm. The game itself isn't bad, but the ending was very poor and confusing and basically goes against the series' themes. When fans started reaching the ending of the game, all Hell broke loose. A high-selling game with good critical reviews now boasts 2 stars on Amazon, and a Metacritic User score of 3.5 (compare the critical score of 9.5). All message boards dealing with the topic were inundated, and there are multiple polls and petitions which indicate that some ninety-eight percent of Mass Effect fans were dissatisfied with the ending. There may have never been a stronger negative reaction to ten minutes of a game in the history of the medium. This has been rectified with a extended cut on free DLC explaining the ending, that gave some peace of mind to the fans but there are still some complainers as always.
@CaioTrubat: Wow, that sounds infuriating for both sides. I'm glad I missed out then! It's big of them to try and fix it though.
@Strafe Prower: Yeah right, they "fixed" it... Actually Eletronic Arts (the series publisher) intentionally withheld the ending originally planned for the game to release it as the extended cut later on paid DLC. But the reception towards the unfinished ending it was so catastrophic and after EA was named "The worst company of America" they changed it to free DLC in order to put out the fires. Its not confirmed if that is what happened, but nobody doubts that. The series still worth checking though I recommend only the first and second ones.
@CaioTrubat: I might check them out in the future when I get some money. It's a first person shooter?
@Strafe Prower: Is your user image the Web?
Have you read Web? (I only picked up the first issue)
If so thoughts on it?
@DoomDoomDoom: Yes it is :)
I read his one-shot, but haven't read the solo series. I'm in love with the covers though, so I'll pick it up when I get some money. I plan on reading The Shield as well.
I'll let you know!
Did you read the Mighty Crusaders mini?
@Strafe Prower: I didn't read the mini.
Suggestions on the Freedom Fighters or Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters?
@CaioTrubat: Catwoman easily. She is in my top 3 favorite characters of comics.
@DoomDoomDoom: You should read the mini, it was great IMO.
I liked all 3 of the runs that Gray and Palimotti did, but others disagree. Unfortunately You need to know about Bludhaven and what happened there, as the Freedom Fighter characters first appear in Infinite Crisis Aftermath: The Battle of Bludhaven. It's not a bad book, but Infinite Crisis was not good IMO.
From there, you need to read.Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters. It was good from what I remember.
Next comes Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters v2. I liked this series more, as it's more my style of plot and villains. Not as Government based as the last one IIRC.
Freedom Fighters is the last thing that was put out before the Reboot, and it's my favorite. I love the opening arc!
You could also check out the Phantom Lady mini of the DCnU. I just came out on Wednesday.
@Strafe Prower: Wow, thanks for the thought out reply on that one! Just added those to my list of things to check out.
@DoomDoomDoom: Anytime! It's not often I get someone asking me about Freedom Fighters, so I try to help support one of my favorite teams.
@Strafe Prower: I'm interested in Black Condor mainly but I'm sure I'll enjoy the rest of the team as well.
@DoomDoomDoom: He is my second favorite character from the series. I love the depth in Phantom Lady's character though. Uncle Sam is fun as well.
@ReVamp:
Hmm....I don't know what you have and haven't read. I'll make a big list just in case.
Like I said, most of my taste are weird.
@ReVamp: Outsiders is my favorite team, so I am a bit partial to the books.
The Batman stuff is all pretty great. If your a bat-fan, I imagine you'll like all of them.
Considering Gotham City Sirens includes ALL characters I like, I couldn't dislike it unless it was BAD
No one believed me that Catwoman was good, until AtPhantom read them and agreed. Morpheus has read some of vol.2 as well.
Camelot 3000 is personal favorite for the simple craziness of it.
