By measuring mankind's current rate of progress, technological upliftment, and at the same time gauging the vanishing resources of earth and the fact that we will probably run out of non-renewable energy before alternate energy sources come 100% into common usage, What kind of a future does mankind face?
Will it still be a low level of civilization striving towards its pinnacle and hoping to achieve it?
Or will it be dark, bleak degeneration into extinction?

At present, running the shipping and receiving department at Hughes Enterprises. Basically, I make sure shipments have the correct product for the customer, communicating with clients, arranging for shipments overseas. I despise my boss, but the job isn't bad.

On a serious note, I believe that more and more people are becoming aware of the imminent problems we face by relying on current strategies for energy. Oil is a finite resource, and while the United States does have a heavy domestic supply, having to rely on something that also has more potential dangers than it does benefits is quickly becoming illogical. We're all too often reminded of this when events like the Exxon Valdez or the Deep Water horizon occur. In order for this to occur however, populations like China, Russia, and especially Britain and the U.S. need to start making bigger strides towards easily renewable energy as opposed to current methods. After all, the biggest consumer groups make the biggest changes.
