@thegreatfour: No. There is, however, an Orange Lantern Hamster, also known as Super Egg Fuzz. But I don't think I have pictures to make him into an RP character.

I actually created it with my RPG character IcarusMach9 in mind. And I guess I've always had a fascination with Greco-Roman mythology

@The Dark Huntress: It can range between 20 minutes and 5-8 hours. It really depends on the complexity...I'd say on average a Lego person takes an hour.

Now, as for my question. What did you do to earn you the right of becoming a mod? I don't recall seeing you as an active Viner on either of the threads I spend most of my time on.

Well, a few things: Firstly, I'm not always around as Icarusflies. I spend about half my time as Portrait. I also don't use the battle forums. I probably got to be a mod because a) I help people, b) I'm almost always around c)I've been here for over a year, d) I make custom Legos.

I also wiki-edit, RPG, and train new RPGers

@Decoy Elite: I played Myst for the DS and that was pretty bad. Mostly because it just wasn't meant for that console.

@614azrael: RPGs that are focused on something other than fighting.

I'm not trying to put you in a hard spot here, but the general belief is that the only real way for upward mobility here is to be a part of the "inner circle" of comic vine's staff. There's just a lot of outrage, which I believe isn't heard by the staff, when new mods are selected over people who the majority seem to believe are deserving of the selection.

For example, there was that whole thread where Viners had the chance to vote for a wiki mod. Countless people expressed interest in Vance Astro, Morpheus_, and a few others, yet in the end people who recieved only a few or no votes were picked. I'm obviously not pointing the finger at you, but instead expressing the opinion many share to you.

@k4tzm4n: Actually, quite a few people suggested just using the top wiki people for it. And they chose the TOP top editors. Not just people with a lot of subs.

What do you think is the cause of the dead rpgs(the ones that go unfinished and fall off grid) and what are three sugestions to avoid it?

Well, a lot of the time people won't participate in RPGs unless a 'big name' RPGer starts it. Or the RP involves too much thinking, so people just won't bother. I haven't found a way to avoid it yet.

And don't worry about it, I really like answering questions, and that includes RP questions

well then my questioning shall continue lol. And that helps still eritating when people drop out while involved.

So what is likely the right amount of complexity in a plot? Seeking a good story one proubly again wants more then hero doesnt like crazy vilin yet if you aim for a large branching story arc it seems the amount of detail wil encourage ppl to simply avoid it.

@614azrael: Again, I have issues with that...I'm prone to setting up long, complex stories, and they often fail. I once spent about two hours setting up an OOC for 'Voyage to Lost Kadath' or something like that, and no one bothered with it.

Weren't Noboy and Final Arrow also picked at that point? I have nothing against either of them being mods, but it just goes to show that the point of that entire thread felt like a slap in the face to many Viners.
