A thread about America's favorite family...

I just hope the new Netflix season doesn't suck. It's been so long, it just might.
But that show is awesome and I still watch it all the time.

Season 4 SHOULD be just as good as the past three seasons, considering they have the ENTIRE old cast. Everyone's gonna be a bit older, though. Gotta get revenge on Anyong. (Or however you spell it.)
Might just turn out as bad as the Seinfeld reunion.

As long as we have our favorite analyst/therapist, or "analrapist" for short.
Now I really can't wait.

I honestly don't really watch but my friend wanted me to post that. He's been suffering from a video glitch. =O It looks funny from what I've seen though. Especially the chicken dance!
I think the fourth season was a nice return to the series. A little slow at the first three episodes but by episode 4, it's momentum got better and I really started to love the series again. The cast was as awesome as always and the moments were just as fun too. Spoiler, there is a lot of cliffhangers at the end but hopefully it will be resolved in the next season(?) or the upcoming movie(?).
P.S. Major downside was the lack of Chicken Dance!!! Were they afraid it wouldn't be funny?!

Highly disappointed. It doesnt really feel like the same show and the character wit from the previous seasons seems non-existent.

I expected it. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
I'm on episode 10 right now, I'm not completely Disappointed, It wasn't as good as the first and the beginning of the second season.
Don't get me wrong its still a good series just, doesn't live up to my expectations.
I don't like The Flashbacks with George Sr. and Lucille. I feel like it's a bad excuse for a cameo.
I'm currently trying to get through it.... but man is it hard. The chemistry with all these new characters feels off, and even some of the wit is gone. I get that chemistry is going to feel off, but it feels like the wit from previous seasons isn't there. Characters don't pop like they used too. All the cameos in this show are just.... terrible. Like the Workaholics guys. Seth Rogen and Christian Wig should never have done the flashbacks. When ALways Sunny did a Frank episode based on his youth, they just put a wig on him and said that he was 20, AD is the kind of show that would have done that. Maeby.... is ugly. Like, she was never hot and was leaning on cute, but something about her is totally off putting. I heard that Season 5 will have a lot more of the family moments. So if they do make it happen, I hope it gets better.
@saintwildcard: I was really ambivalent about season 4 the first time through and got bored with the first half or so but I found on multiple watch-throughs that I liked it about as much as the other seasons. It's better once when you know what's going on fully.
That's just me though. I felt season 4 got too much hate.
@saintwildcard: Their making a season 5 of Arrested Development!?!?!
I do suggest giving season 4 another try. It's hard not to stand it next to the others & compare, but S4 had it's qualities. It took a extra run through but it grew on me, although perhaps it's just nostalgia, AD still stands as one of my favorites.
