You don't have to but it helps the mods clean up this site.

I usually do, not sure how the flagging system works but I assume it helps bringing it to a mods attention so they can lock or delete it.

@emperor_time: Please! The mods (this is an alt account of Mercy) don't have time to go through the forums combing pages and pages to see if there's a spam topic. You flagging them brings them to our attention. What you shouldn't do is post in them, as all that does is bump them and draw more attention.

When a user flags a comment or topic, it shows up in a queue that the mods sort through.

It only makes the Spam-Bot grow stronger......

And if you find yourself with karma too high to flag, just shoot the mods (or a mod you see online) a PM and explain that your karma is high from flagging and we can reset it for you.
