Why do people snitch to the police?
Would the world be a better place if more people snitched?
Do you dislike people who are snitches?
I think it really seriously depends on context. Like there's a difference between telling the police about a suspected abuse or murder, and telling on people for relatively minor things or maybe betraying the confidence of someone close to you. Seems like a case by case thing, and not something you can generalise about in terms of whether it is always right or wrong.
Snitches get stitches.
you need to cite your quote!!!!!

Wouldn'y have expected any less from a potato dealer.
If it has nothing to do with you and you are just being invasive or nosey then snitching is not necessarily a good thing to do. Even if it does involve you, if you can handle it yourself you should. But yeah if it is like a murder or rape then its OK.
Not sure what form of "snitching" you are talking about it.
If it involves a crime, like murder or rape, or drugs, or if it's a matter of safety/proffesional working environment, not only is it ok, i encourage it.
If it's a personal situation, or a leak of secrets held in trust between two people, then snitches get stitches.
If someone does something bad to someone else, they deserve to get snitched on. Crime shouldn't go unpunished, I dare someone to try and give me stitches!!!'

Depends, but if its a matter that affects more than that individual, or if its for their own good (such as some cutting themselves) then "snitch" your heart out. The stigma attached to what people call snitching has to stop. Most of the time people are against it because it involves them getting in trouble for doing something they had no business doing in the first place.
Now gossiping is crap. Talking behind people's backs is crap. If you're going to talk to someone, it should be someone that should be informed in the first place (ie; if the matter affects them) or someone who is in a position to help.
@kingvenus: snitching is what I call righteousness.
Unless it directly affects my family and friends, I'm not going to say anything. For example, if someone killed my closest friend, and I knew who the killer was, I'm telling on him/her. If the killer or anyone associated tries to come after me or my loved ones, my Glock 21 will handle that.
Now, if there was a local drug dealer in my community, and I knew who it was and the police asked me about him/her, I wouldn't say a word.
There's levels to this. However, I don't believe in telling the cops every little thing that goes on because I don't completely trust law enforcement. At the end of the day, it's not about serving and protecting. Law enforcement is a business.
It depends on the situation. My office recently hired a lady who was looking for other jobs the whole time she worked for us, and she didn't work for us very long at all. My coworker found out she was doing this, so she told the office manager. My office manager eventually confronted her and told her that our office needed someone who was willing to commit, so we let her go. I joking called my coworker a snitch and a narc, but I feel like she was right in what we did. Sometimes "snitching" is necessary.
I wonder how she found out about her, unless she told people at the workplace that she was looking for work elsewhere.
@static_shock: glock 21 is such a nice gun!

This.
The new girl's an idiot, then. LOL.

I agree. I traded my Remington 1911 enhanced series (which I only had for a day) for it, because I wasn't ready to dismantle and clean it after each use. They say Glocks rarely have to be cleaned, so I went with that instead. I'll reacquire that Remington later this year, though. Such a beautiful gun.
@static_shock: I have a few glocks, a 19, 21, and a 26.
I shoot them all regularly and they require very little matenence. I think I've done close to 80,000 rounds in my glock 21 and clean it about every 5,000 or so rounds (about a month or two for me). You can't really do that with any other gun but a much more expensive Sig.
I think I was sorta raised to be against snitching and it was the norm around the neighborhood and in grammar school. This only applies to little things though. But I will say that snitching often does get you in trouble from my experiences.

Damn. You'd think that the 1911s would be made to require less maintenance or cleaning, considering how long they've been around. Smh.
@static_shock: yeah, 1911s are pretty guns, they shoot well (not a huge fan of the grip safeties), but they do need constant matenence. I have a Springfield 1911 mil-spec stainless that I clean out after each time at the range. I would still recommend it since it is so purty, and fun to shoot. Almost makes it worth cleaning so much.
SNITCHES GET STITCHES (so people can't say I went off topic)
@cuddlebear: thug lyfe
If it has to do with crime, not at all. More people should report crimes they are witness and/or even victim to. Unless they have a real fear for their lives or their families, they are cowards.

Snitching is the only way to leave the trap!!!!!!
